👩🔬 Scientific research updates "In this study the EasyPGX®Ready MSI was used to evaluate MSI status in gonadal and extragonadal pediatric germ cell #tumors (GCTs) and to verify whether #microsatellite instability (MSI) was correlated to resistance to #chemotherapy and sensitivity to #immunotherapy in these types of neoplasm. After IHC, PCR and NGS analysis 20 out 21 samples scored MSS and 1 scored MSI positive after #PCR analyisis for 4 samples NGS could not be performed for the limiting amount or quality of #DNA. 🎗️ October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month We strongly believe in the importance of prevention: #BreastCancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide, accounting for approximately 25% of all cancer cases among women. By promoting early detection and raising awareness, we can truly make a difference! It is estimated that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. In 2020, there were approximately 2.26 million new cases of breast cancer in women globally. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), breast cancer mortality rates are projected to increase, highlighting the urgent need for effective interventions. The WHO’s Global Breast Cancer Initiative (GBCI) aims to reduce global breast cancer mortality by 2.5% per year, preventing an estimated 2.5 million breast cancer deaths globally between 2020 and 2040. 💕 Our message is one of optimism: Regular screenings and self-examinations are crucial in the fight against combating breast cancer. Detecting it early not only expands treatment options but also leads to significantly better outcomes. Let us empower ourselves and our loved ones through knowledge and proactive steps. 🌸 Together, we have the power to bring about change! Advances in #PrecisionMedicine and the identification of new #molecular #targets are revolutionizing breast cancer treatment. Due to advances in #treatment and #EarlyDetection, breast cancer survival rates have significantly improved over the past few decades. For example, in high-income countries, the 5-year relative survival rate for breast cancer is now approximately 90%. These promising trends highlight the effectiveness of modern treatment approaches and the critical role of #PersonalizedMedicine in the fight against breast cancer. This October, let us unite to raise awareness about breast cancer. Share this post to spread the message of prevention and hope. By standing together, we can work towards a future where breast cancer is no longer a life-threatening disease.
