We are delighted to unveil another design project that, as of yesterday, is part of the ADI Design Index selection. Introducing Roxie, the new video entrance panel by Vimar: collaborating on Roxie’s design to achieve versatility and robustness in an understated style has been a rewarding challenge. We’re deeply grateful that Roxie’s value has been recognized by ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale . Congratulations to our entire design team, and special thanks to Vimar for choosing us for this journey to enhance everyday life for all users. #designforpeople #designforchange #industrialdesign #adidesignindex

From furniture to means of transport, from social design to exhibition design, and even theoretical research and design studies, the ADI Design Index selection by ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale accurately depicts the best of Italian design and is the first step toward the coveted Compasso d’Oro award. Within this scope, we are enthusiastic to announce that the best of design has entered the mechanical workshop with KENDO.EVO by #VSG Veichle Service Group- the tire changer and work companion designed to provide operators with ease of use, safety, and a high level of adaptability to support tire dealers and accommodate their diverse working styles. Kudos to our designers and the entire Rotary Solutions EMEA team for this important collaboration! Don’t miss the chance to see the project with your own eyes! KENDO.EVO is now on display at the ADI Design Index exhibition: October 30 – November 17, 2024 ADI Design Museum Piazza Compasso d’Oro 1, Milan November 25 – 30, 2024 WeGil Space – Cultural Hub of the Lazio Region managed by LAZIOcrea Largo Ascianghi 5, Trastevere, Rome #designforpeople #designforchange #industrialdesign #adidesignindex

It’s an important moment! Yesterday, ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale announced the ADI Design Index selection for 2024, and three projects we're involved in have been included! The ADI Design Index selection is a first-hand, panoramic snapshot of Italian design today: "The project enters into the redevelopment of products and processes, to bring back traditional workmanship and high craftsmanship expertise, to create new players in the sector, to add usability and appeal to highly industrial or technological solutions,’ say Laura Badalucco, Makio Hasuike, domenico sturabotti, laura traldi and Francesco Zurlo, of the Scientific Committee of the ADI Permanent Design Observatory. The first project selected is Blade Off by Scm Group, the innovative safety system that meets the needs of the woodworking industry: protecting operators’ hands while maintaining the highest quality of their work in all its nuances and adhering to timelines. A great achievement in the world of woodworking and we are so proud to have collaborated with an industry leader like SCM Woodworking Technologies! Continuing our commitment to positioning design as a strategic asset within organizations, we recently participated in the Jam Session of the #Polimi Design Thinking for Business Observatory, of which we are a proud sponsor, alongside other forward-thinking studios and companies. During the event, Giulia Calabretta, Associate Professor of Strategic Value of Design at Delft University of Technology, provided insightful perspectives on how design can shape and enhance business strategy. Her expertise shed light on the real-world challenges and nuanced dynamics that arise when integrating design thinking into organizational processes. In collaborative sessions, we engaged directly with consultancies and corporate representatives to explore the common barriers to adopting design-led approaches. These exchanges confirmed that including all stakeholders from the very beginning is essential for achieving a unified and effective transformation. When stakeholders actively participate in shaping objectives and strategies, it fosters a culture of shared ownership that drives meaningful, sustainable change and mitigates obstacles. Exercising these methodologies in a controlled, collaborative setting with peers who understand similar organizational dynamics was invaluable. Such simulations underscore the importance of not only aligning theoretical frameworks with practical realities but also setting a foundation for smoother transitions and behavioral shifts within the workplace. The work remains complex, yet through design thinking, we are bridging gaps and advancing toward impactful, positive transformation in today’s business landscape. Designers are constantly evolving professionals. To deliver impactful and meaningful experiences, staying curious, observing, learning, and considering broad, interconnected systems and environments is just as essential as specializing in a particular field. When we design for clients, their teams, processes, and end users, we shape both the physical and digital worlds as part of a unified whole, integrating new technologies- like those provided by AI- into real-world applications. Our Alberto Giorgi recounted his own experience in a beautiful interview with Emil Donchev. Read it now: https://lnkd.in/eBUeuymH #design #productdesign #experience #digital #physical

Last week, our service and digital product designers participated in the first meeting of the research journey organized by #Polimi Design Thinking for Business Observatory, of which we are a sponsor. The Observatory aims to be a key reference point for a community of innovators and design thinkers, focused on creating business value, exploring new methodologies, and building the right networks. A highlight of the event was the talk by Daniela Jorge, who has consistently demonstrated throughout her career how a design-driven approach can generate value for both companies and end users. The session offered us the opportunity to reflect deeply on the importance of aligning designers' work with business objectives. We discussed how trust, transparency, and the ability to embrace holistic viewpoints are vital for ensuring long-term, sustainable, and competitive growth. Additionally, the session emphasized the importance of handling data and the personal needs of end users with the utmost care, making them integral to the design journey and its final goal. Thank you, Osservatori Digital Innovation, LEADIN' Lab - POLIMI School of Management, Design Strategies and everyone participating in the Observatory! We look forward to the next activity! #designthinking #business #innovation
