the krank presents SOLD, a land art piece that integrates the natural environment into a visual statement on avlaki beach in paxos, greece. as part of the 3rd paxos biennale, the artwork features the word SOLD formed from hundreds of carefully placed dark-colored stones, found scattered around the site. positioned near a large construction site for a luxury villa, the piece evokes the stamp used by real estate companies to mark purchases and serves as an artistic protest. SOLD transforms the ruined natural landscape of the beach, making a powerful statement on the impact of over-exploitation and building development. the juxtaposition of the word against the backdrop of the construction site emphasizes the artist’s message about the intrusion of development on natural spaces. read more here: https://buff.ly/4cWrRdw

perched atop a dramatic hillside facing the ionian sea, the panorama hilltop retreat is a modern reinterpretation of vernacular aesthetics in albania's dhërmi village. the proposal, signed by Oppenheim Architecture, envisions the soon-to-be hospitality destination as a cluster of terraced buildings, each hugging the site's topographic contours, with private views of the open blue waters. even more, the design is carefully steeped in albanian and greek influences, a hybrid trait reflected across the region and nearby village. read more here: https://buff.ly/4cQySMK

wall lamp, a lighting fixture designed by tarek dada, merges art and function, using two distinct light sources. the first is a tube integrated with various materials, allowing the wall itself to become part of the piece as light interacts with different surfaces. the second, a concealed source, illuminates a colorful mirrored plane, casting reflections that transform the surroundings and the people within, blending the lamp into the living space. An LED strip light is discreetly nestled into the main metallic piece, casting a soft glow on the triangular plane, while an LED profile, concealed within a sandblasted plexiglass tube, diffuses the light gently throughout the space. read more here: https://buff.ly/4eSeKM7
