Yesterday afternoon emeritus_EU event at the Calvarina base, 🇮🇹 continued with practical training and related testing about: 🔹 Geomatic tools for illegal waste site detection developed by Politecnico di Torino 🔸 Drone control module managed by LOGIKERS EMERITUS carries out missions to monitor potential illegal waste sites through a multiresolution approach consisting of 2 detection layers: 1⃣: Satellite data are collected to create a map of potential illegal waste sites 🛰️ 2⃣: Follow-up drone missions are carried out to gather more precise, real-time, high-quality images 🚀 The EMERITUS drone control system is at the forefront of technology, relying on an innovative operation paradigm. This system, with its beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flight capabilities, allows drones to be managed and controlled remotely from anywhere the command-and-control centre is located. #EnvironmentalWaste #EUProject #EnvironmentalSecurity

🏔 We have joined the emeritus_EU team for a few days of training sessions and the consortium meeting, hosted by Fondazione SAFE - Security and Freedom for Europe at the former NATO military base on Mount Calvarina (Verona, Italy)! 💡 Our researcher Serena F. will inform our partners about the progresses in WP2 and the development of the protocol for #wastecrime investigation, to be integrated into the #EMERITUS platform, as well as the project's synergies with the KLEPTOTRACE and Datacros II Project, coordinated by Transcrime.   A few days of operational tests, theoretical and practical trainings with European police authorities and security experts, covering international principles and regulations, tools and technologies for investigating #environmentalcrime.
