Our colleague Julia from Chicago is once again discussing the important topic of psychological safety, specifically the management of trauma in the workplace. Adopting a trauma-informed approach is essential for #HR professionals who want to build resilient teams. To this end, the National Council for Behavioral Health provides extremely useful guidelines for proper management of these issues. #consea #psychologicalsafety #employeewellbeing
In today’s fast-paced and ever-evolving workplace, fostering a culture of psychological safety is paramount for organizational success. Psychological safety, the belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes, is critical for innovation, collaboration, and overall employee well-being. One key aspect of achieving this safe and supportive environment is by adopting trauma-informed human resources practices. A trauma-informed approach recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and understands potential paths for recovery. It acknowledges the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients, families, staff, and others involved with the system. This approach not only supports employees’ mental well-being but also enhances their overall productivity and job satisfaction. To aid in this endeavor, the National Council for Behavioral Health provides a comprehensive checklist that can guide HR professionals through the implementation of trauma-informed practices across all stages of employment. By integrating these practices, organizations can build resilient teams, reduce turnover, and create a more inclusive and empathetic workplace culture. Imagine a work environment where every team member feels secure enough to speak freely, share ideas, and take risks without fearing judgment from leaders or colleagues. This is the essence of team psychological safety, and it’s a game-changer for any organization. But how can we tell if our workplace is psychologically safe? And how can we promote this safety? Read more in this post! #consea #psychologicalsafety #team
In today's competitive business landscape, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration is more important than ever. A critical element of this culture is team psychological safety—a concept developed by Harvard Business School professor Amy Edmondson. Psychological safety is the shared belief that team members can take risks, express ideas and concerns, ask questions, and admit mistakes without fear of negative consequences. Understanding and cultivating this environment is essential for any team striving for excellence. In this presentation, we explore what team psychological safety is, why it matters, how to assess it in your team, and actionable steps to enhance it. This month is not just about awareness: it’s about empowering and advocating for the rights and inclusion of individuals with disabilities in every aspect of life. A few ways we can make a difference in the workplace: • Engage in conversations about disability inclusion and learn from the experiences of colleagues with disabilities. • Advocate for and implement practices that enhance accessibility, from physical accommodations to inclusive communication tools. • Pay attention to all types of disabilities: physical, intellectual, sensory and mental. At Consea Group we are committed to fostering a culture of accessibility: inclusion is a core value that enhances our community and makes us stronger as a company. #consea #inclusion #disabilitypride #disabilitypridemonth

Recently, our Shanghai Team was involved in an Obstacle Team Building experience. We went through different obstacles; the coach explained the techniques and we tried them out. Afterwards, we did a short circuit workout and a little Team challenge. It was a fun and wholesome experience; we supported each other, cheering and pushing each other to try and do our best at every obstacle, whatever the outcome was. Some of us were worried it would be difficult and hard but they proved themselves wrong. As Mark Nepo said “We are stronger, gentler, more resilient, and more beautiful than any of us imagine” Looking forward to the next Team Building together with our colleague in Beijing, Carine Ren! #consea #team #teambuilding #motivation
