I started investing in AorticLab in 2019, only because my brother - forget the “in-law” - and best friend Francesco Bonetti, who I knew to be a quite brilliant lifelong biomedical engineer specialising in cardiovascular equipment (as well as a quite lovely and very special human being) had become its CTO. He spoke to me of the two innovative products that he was designing with such passion that I could not but share his excitement. The prospect of supporting the development of ground-breaking products that could make a real difference to patient safety was a no-brainer. Through my initial investment I then came to know and admire Franco Osta, co-founder and CEO, whose consummate professionalism matched my brother’s brilliance, and five years on the excitement just builds every single day. I was told it was a risky investment but I never doubted them for a single moment. The award of CE-mark at the start of the year was a pivotal moment but now I get to read updates like this that are inspirational. So this seems like an appropriate moment to say to my brother, and the whole small but talented team at AorticLab - Wow! Just wow! Bravissimi!
