Within the OpenZone Science Campus the newly built area for laboratories includes two towers and a circular pavilion for start-ups. The contemporary and recognizable architecture is designed to bridge different worlds, languages, and skills, positioning OpenZone as a hub for transforming research into business. The buildings rise from a common base housing parking, storage, and facility rooms. At 5 meters high, the base supports the foyer, which provides access to the towers and pavilion. The fully glazed foyer offers views of the North Park. The two towers are simple, linear volumes clad in an envelope of opacized glass shingles that embellish the profiles. This double skin provides technical shading and adds character to the buildings. The circular pavilion, wrapped in a metal cable skin, includes pools to encourage climbing plants, aiming to cover the entire structure. Discover more about the project: https://lnkd.in/dTPyrJG6 ph. AMDL CIRCLE is renowned for its humanist architecture and design. Led by Michele De Lucchi.
Chi siamo
The philosophy adopted by Michele De Lucchi's office seeks to maintain a steady interaction between architectural thinking, industrial design and global communication. This transverse approach is backed by Michele De Lucchi's own international experience acquired in more than forty years' work. Founded in the early 1980s, the office has kept its original multicultural and multidisciplinary origins. Producing architecture and design for Italian and foreign institutes, public and private organisations, businesses and individuals, it carries out in-depth surveys of matters relating to contemporary society, especially the role of industry and crafts, technology and nature. Formed by architects and designers from all over the world, the office shows a predilection for teamwork. Its projects are developed without ever being confined to the visual aspects traditionally associated with design, but rather by contemplating every necessary step - from analysis to concept, from realisation to forecasts of future scenarios. The office staff comprises some forty professionals from different cultural backgrounds and experiences who are committed to complex projects. These ranger from the scale of products to that of architecture and city planning. Always at the forefront of the international cultural scene, the firm implements a policy of technical, performing and functional quality related to reasonable completion and management costs. The firm's head office is in the center of Milan. As proof of a design reaching for excellence, the office was this year awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certificate for its architectural, urban, interior and exhibition design.

Transparency and permeability are the key features in requalifying Post Offices in municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants. Within the scope of the #ProgettoPolis (with which Poste Italiane participates in the Complementary Plan to the PNRR promoted by the Government) the intervention involves the conservation and renovation of existing post offices to create the “Sportello Unico” offering public administration services digitally. This project involves tailored interventions for different types of offices: from multi-story building ground floors to the iconic modular “cubes” designed designed by Pierluigi Spadolini for Italposte in the 1970s. Interiors are made flexible, bright, and user-friendly, while outdoor areas will become gathering points to enhance urban spaces. The guidelines emphasize both conservative restorations and new solutions, highlighting the buildings’ identity: the yellow roof band, lighting, and illuminated signage make Post Offices instantly recognizable in the urban context. Typo redefines the archetype of the wooden office chair on wheels for Mara. The project emerged from an exploration of innovative construction techniques to create new forms. Starting from the study of steel profile bending techniques, an unconventional process was developed to yield a novel effect: by bending a square-section steel tube along the diagonal, the material deforms, creating sharp folds. An error that became the distinctive feature of the chair's load-bearing structure and the soul of the project, inspiring its name, Typo, derived from the typographical error that sparked its creation. For the new ARRITAL showcase, we continue our reflection on the concept of a showroom, understood as a multifunctional and inspirational space. The project, located within the office building designed by Vico Magistretti in the heart of Milan, creates a new meeting place in the city centre, intended to host events, foster relationships, and encourage collaboration. The space, spanning three levels, takes on the characteristics of flexibility and transparency, offering an immersive journey of exploration. The kitchen emerges as a pivotal domain, a captivating stage for narratives and storytelling, well-aligned with Arrital's philosophy. Introducing elements such as the suspended flower beds and the "rosso Vico" staircase, inserted in the purposely opened void to exalt the verticality of the architecture, contributes to making the new environment unique and exclusive. ph. The collaboration with antoniolupi design spa takes shape in the interplay of classic and noble materials, such as bronze and wood, assembled through design solutions drawing from ancient and precious craftsmanship. The fusion with the studio's language gives rise to column washbasins with sculptural, precious, and unique forms. Fabric cords and metallic points connect wooden slats, while cast bronze molds into a conical and grooved shape: Ramses, Cheope and Teti, like ancient monuments, emerge from the ground and take on the value of autonomous works. #amdlcircle #micheledelucchi #antoniolupi

Lana is the modular radiator designed for Antrax IT Srl. Crafted from 100% recyclable cast aluminum, Lana's 33x33 cm square tiles with rounded corners create a bulging effect. Inspired by textile yarns, its curved surface features a plissé effect, enhancing its elegant patchwork appearance when combined horizontally or vertically. The name Lana reflects this inspiration, with embossed finishes in various colors adding to its tactile appeal. Customizable in color and configuration, Lana offers versatility, from three linear elements to twelve, allowing for side-by-side compositions in various formats. Its three-dimensional texture creates captivating plays of light and shadow, giving Lana a distinct aesthetic. Image by Studio Emozioni .com

For the "Atelis" project by Zambaiti Parati Spa, our collection is inspired by the beauty and complexity of the rural landscape. Through the selected textures and colors, it evokes the history and techniques that shaped it. The creative process is guided by the gesture of plowing fields, symbolizing the bond between man and earth. Pigments were "raked" on drawing sheets with wooden combs of various types—wide or narrow, square or pointed—creating a language of lines, tangles, and shapes inspired by the furrows of cultivated fields, hedges, and rows of trees seen from above. Hand-drawn motifs add a human and emotional dimension, with unique traits where small imperfections and asymmetries enhance their value. The hues and textures of the finishes were then combined and reworked digitally, transforming into graphic effects to decorate, color, and engrave the surface of rice starch wallpaper.

The TESEO collection, designed for RODA combines two distinctive outdoor furniture techniques: structures with teak slats and textile cording in a combination of artisan tradition, industrial efficiency, and technological innovation. The result is an evocative interplay of textile wefts and wooden warps, created by the intertwining and mutual support of wood and rope, featured in dining chairs and tables. ph.
