websocket-jsr356 consumer fails when endpoint URI parameters are provided

If you try to configure the websocket-jsr356 consumer like websocket-jsr356:///test?sessionCount=10, then the WebSocket endpoint is attempted to be configured on the entire path string including the query params. Hence it"s not reachable from a client.
