    beqom’s 2024 global Compensation Leadership Summit was a huge success! Compensation & rewards leaders joined us in Nyon, Switzerland, for two days packed with eye-opening sessions about important topics in the #compensation field, like the best approach to successfully achieve #payequity, the impact of #paytransparency legislation, and the way #AI is revolutionizing compensation practices. On Day 1, Margret Bjarnadottir, Vidir Ragnarsson, and Gudrun Thorgeirsdottir were joined by Gulya (Gulchekhra) Bakeberg in a panel around pay equity, where they shared their first-hand experience and knowledge of how global organisations are approaching pay equity, how they are overcoming their challenges, and what is the key to success. On Day 2, another panel focused on the march towards pay transparency, and how directives like the #EUPayTransparencyDirective are shaping the future of fair and equitable workplaces. Some of the key takeaways were: 💡 Communication is key. It’s important to understand your pay philosophy and provide training to managers so that they are able answer all questions employees will have. 💡 Pay equity is a journey. Organisations should not approach their pay equity efforts as a one-time project, but rather as something to integrate into their organization’s DNA. 💡 The time to act is now. With current and upcoming pay equity and pay transparency legislation, organizations need to get started as soon as possible. Not only to avoid potential litigation, but as a way to attract and retain the best talent. 💡 Pay transparency is to be cultivated and not feared. Sharing and communicating pay gap information internally (and externally) will always translate into building a culture around trust, and having more engaged employees & a stronger workplace culture.     We are still basking in the glow of our 2024 Compensation Leadership Summit that took place in beautiful Nyon, Switzerland last week. 🏔 🇨🇭 During the course of this two-day event, compensation & rewards leaders from all over the world joined us to share expert knowledge, make new connections, and get inspired by each others' experiences and insights. In the current job market, important trends like pay transparency, pay equity, and AI are quickly shifting the way organizations design their compensation strategies, so it was energizing to hear first hand from leaders, practitioners, and experts in the field about their approaches to the challenges that all organizations are facing.
