Our story
Ionic was founded in 2012 by developer and designer duo, Max Lynch and Ben Sperry. The company’s first major project was an open source framework that made it possible for web developers to build fast, beautiful mobile apps for any platform, using the web tools and languages that they already know and love.
Since then, the Ionic platform has evolved far beyond where we started. Ionic is now a leader in mobile CI/CD. Ionic Appflow is used by thousands of teams and businesses, helping them automate app delivery so they can ship faster, deliver better mobile experiences for their users, and focus on what matters.
