As a yoga therapist, I would advice that managing stress with a demanding client can be effectively handled through mindfulness and breathwork. Begin by taking a few deep, grounding breaths to centre yourself before and during the interaction. Maintain a calm, steady presence and focus on active listening, ensuring you understand the client's needs and concerns. Use grounding techniques, such as feeling your feet on the floor or subtly engaging in mindful breathing, to stay composed. After the interaction, practice a short meditation or a few yoga stretches to release any residual tension and restore balance.
