I strongly agree on this one. Knowledge is a gift to be shared. We multiply our knowledge when we work to build it for others. Knowledge never goes waste, even if you are in another sector you can still apply the same. Prior to being in PR I had been a radio jockey and worked in the hospitality industry. I can see my experience and knowledge from those days always coming into play to write scripts, to handle media relations and more. Knowledge needs to be built, updated and shared. Knowledge sharing can come in many ways from meetings, podcasts, speaking at events to having basic coffee conversations. Make it interesting to listen and convert to stories that translate into more, successful knowledge sharing sessions.

Needs generate wants, so important to assess the need. Like Employee Engagement with my HR, business achievements with Business Heads, financial achievements with CFO's office, CEO's communication with their respective EA, and more. Next we form the objective, to communicate what, with which audience, how and when. Establish a goal common to all or that which will impact all like say - Brand Building. Then we build a communication plan with all respective stakeholders, we work to gather information and bring that plan to life and try to seamlessly execute. Remember our audience is not just internal but external too. Interdepartmental cohesion is a must for any solid communication plan.
