🚍 Demand for Electric Buses to Remain Robust in India in FY25 Amid Government Push 🚍 The demand for electric buses in India is set to soar in the coming years, thanks to a strong focus on cleaner transportation systems and various government initiatives. 🚀 Here's a quick snapshot: 🔋 Government Initiatives: Unveiling of the PM e-bus Sewa Scheme. USD 2.4 billion allocated to deploy and operate 10,000 electric buses. Public-private partnership model across 169 eligible cities. 🚌 Deployment Timeline: Eco-friendly electric buses to hit the roads in 2024. Full deployment anticipated by 2026. 📈 Growth in Registrations: Electric heavy passenger vehicles (e-HPVs) registrations surged from 217 units in FY21 to 3,400 units in FY24. This is welcome step by government. However, it would have been better to bring changes after due consideration of the potential impact on all stakeholders in first place itself. There has been similar cases in past as well where government has to take back the amendment or deffer it for substantial period.
