Amrita Devi Foundation (www.amritadevifoundation.org) is an NGO registered under Indian Trust Act 1882, established in 2019, dedicated to the economic, social and financial development of poor but hardworking and determined women of Uttarakhand. Amrita Devi Foundation is in existence with an aim to build self sustained Uttarakhand by focusing on the SKILL DEVELOPMENT of WOMEN and providing them EMPLOYMENT opportunity through our wing called Amrita Devi Women's Skill Development Institute.

We believe that when we teach a woman, we educate a whole family and bring growth.

Amrita Devi Women’s Skill Development Institute has been established for this purpose. In a short span of time, we have been able to start THREE such institutes in remote rural areas of District Almora, where women from rural areas are being trained in employment oriented related courses such as Computer Operator, Digital Marketing, Tailoring and Beauty Therapists to make them self-reliant. This way they will be able to stay in their own village and at the same time, meet the financial needs of their family.

Every year, more than 10,000 organizations from over 60 countries partner Great Place to Work® Institute for assessment, benchmarking and planning actions to strengthen their workplace culture. Great Place to Work® Institute’s methodology is recognized as rigorous and objective and is considered as the gold standard for defining great workplaces across business, academia and government organizations.

Great workplaces do not happen by chance, they are a direct result of management intention. It is the belief, passion, and commitment of visionary leaders who create the right workplace culture. ‘Commitment to Being a Great Place to Work’ is our initiative to recognize organizations that have demonstrated consistent efforts in building and sustaining a High-Trust, High-Performance CultureTM. These organizations have not only leveraged the Great Place to Work® framework to collect feedback from their employees but also leveraged actionable insights to enhance the employees’ workplace experience.

These organizations have been honoured based on the feedback of their employees and no jury was involved in identifying the organizations-to-recognize. The recognized organizations have participated in the Great Place to Work® study at least thrice since the year 2017, including the year 2020-21. Many have been regular participants since the inception of Great Place to Work® India.
