This is a real-world example of why scalability and reliability are essential in system design. 💡 Here’s why they matter: 1. Scalability ensures your system can handle sudden spikes in traffic without buckling under pressure. Imagine thousands of fans logging in simultaneously! 2. Reliability guarantees that users can trust your system to stay up and running smoothly during crucial moments. How can we avoid these crashes in the future? 🔧 ✅Auto-scaling infrastructure: Automatically spin up more servers as traffic increases, so you're always prepared for heavy loads. We can use auto-scaling services (like AWS Auto Scaling) to automatically add more servers during high-traffic events like concert ticket sales. This way, when demand increases suddenly, the platform can allocate extra resources dynamically. The Secret Behind South India’s Data Dominance Okay, here’s something no one tells you: South India isn’t just known for dosas and filter coffee—it’s the secret HQ for your data. I’m talking about data centres, cloud storage, routers, and all the magic behind the internet. Let me explain why.  Firstly, South India sits pretty right next to those subsea cables—the ocean's secret network that’s carrying your data around the world faster than a cricket match can go viral. These operate beneath the ocean and transmit all of our info worldwide, much like the internet's covert superhighways. For example, Chennai serves as a major landing site for several subsea cables, including the Bay of Bengal Gateway (BBG) and the India-Asia-Xpress (IAX) cable. Faster data transfer to locations like Singapore and Europe is advantageous for all cloud services, streaming, and speed-sensitive business activities. Second, data centres are massive energy hogs, like a fridge you can never turn off. Luckily, South India is sitting on a goldmine of solar and wind power. This makes it sustainable and cost-effective, a dream for companies looking to manage their data efficiently and with a lower carbon footprint. For example, Adani Group is building one of the largest solar farms in Tamil Nadu, which powers data centres with clean, green energy. Google and Microsoft have also jumped on this renewable energy bandwagon, setting up data centres here because they can run them sustainably without burning a hole in the planet—or their pockets. Plus, South India’s got the space and cooling systems needed to house these mega-servers without them overheating and throwing a tantrum. And thanks to smart investments in IT infrastructure and an army of tech experts, this region can handle the world’s biggest data needs without breaking a sweat. A great example is the CtrlS Data Center in Hyderabad, which is one of Asia’s largest Tier 4 data centres, boasting earthquake-resistant buildings and some seriously advanced cooling systems. Lastly, we can’t ignore the fact that South India is strategically located to serve the growing demand in the Asia Pacific region. Let’s not forget, in the Asia Pacific region. Companies like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud are investing in cloud infrastructure in South India because it connects easily to emerging markets in Asia. It’s no longer just about serving India; it’s about connecting businesses and individuals across the entire hemisphere. The IT services sector in South India acts like a digital bridge between countries, helping companies manage their data and expand their reach. In short? South India’s got the right mix of location, energy, and brains to be the perfect home for your data. Now you know the secret!

🌟 KBC's New Challenger Week Format: A PM Perspective! 🌟 Yesterday, while watching KBC on Sony Pictures Networks India, I was impressed by the new Challenger Week format. It is clear that the team has made thoughtful changes to enhance viewer engagement, especially during the critical first five questions. It got me thinking about the product management strategies behind this change. 🔍 Problem: It seems that feedback might have indicated lower engagement levels during transition from 1K to 5K questions. The goal will be to boost user engagement during this period. 📊 Discovery : The KBC team likely would have conducted thorough research, gathering insights from users and analyzing engagement data. User engagement during different segments of the show. They would have examined their strengths and limitations, such as candidate availability and show duration. 💡Solution : What impressed me most was their innovative solution: selecting two participants to challenge each other. This not only made the segment more interesting but also leveraged their strengths effectively. https://lnkd.in/gJVYpD9b I don't think Indian entrepreneurs quite get it. There is no point in competing with Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP cloud platform. They don't understand AI and it's infrastructure, it's already an multi billion infrastructure like 10's of billion which is changing rapidly to expand. Unless you have massive compute which only 5 or 6 companies in the world, would be able to build AI infrastructure.
