Over 32 volunteers and 2 Full Timers from YFS Warangal visited Inavolu village and participated in the Abhyasika program. The day was filled with inspiring moments, as parents shared heartfelt stories of how Abhyasika has brought a positive change in their children's lives. One parent said, "From struggling to loving studies, Abhyasika has transformed my child’s life!" For the past 5 years, we've been empowering government school students, and the impact is undeniable. Together, we’re nurturing a love for learning and helping these young minds thrive! #TransformingLives #YouthForSeva #Abhyasika #EducationForAll #InavoluOutreach #VolunteerWithUs

At Youth For Seva, we firmly believe that success is a collective experience. In our field, success mostly translates to how many people we are able to help and how many people we’re able to convince to join our cause. In this spirit of collective success, our Founder and Mentor Sri Venkatesh Murthy Ji conducted a capacity-building session for members of our organization. It was a session where members within our organization developed a better understanding of the landscape of NGOs and also understood how to leverage the knowledge of current affairs to reach more people, collaborate, and create a larger impact. The session also touched upon various ideologies, their merits and demerits, and how each of them is contributing to society. These sessions help our team remain constantly updated with the information and learnings we have gathered over the past 15 years. The eventual goal is to help our team make better decisions and increase our impact as we move forward. #thoughtleadership #collectivesuccess #volunteering #seva

We are happy to share that our Hubballi chapter recently conducted a sapling planting activity to create a School Medicine Garden in GHPS Mantur. As part of this activity, our volunteers explained the importance of medicinal plants that were being planted and highlighted how a school medicine garden would help everyone around. We had many people participating in the activity through which we planted around 30 saplings with the help of over 10 volunteers. These activities pique the interest of students and the community in the importance of medicinal herbs! #environment #saplingplantation #medicinalplants

Menstrual health is a crucial topic as part of health awareness for adolescents in school today. Conveying the importance of menstrual hygiene and how to navigate this phase can help children immensely through this tricky period in life. As part of our activities we conduct regular menstrual health awareness sessions in schools. Recently, our Warangal chapter conducted one such session for the students from Class 9 and 10 from Karimabad Government School. We are thankful to Dr. Meghana who expertly conveyed sensitive topics and answered all the questions that the students had. #menstrualhealth #adolescenthealth #education #seva

We are happy to share an update from our Belagavi Chapter. On the 20th and 21st of September, 2024, Youth for Seva Belagavi conducted Green Journey (Hasiru Payana) near Jamboti Forest. This environment awareness program was held for students from KHPS Piranwadi (Macche) School in the presence of Sri Umapati Bhat, our coordinator from Sirsi. Over two days, 45 students and 15 volunteers engaged in a variety of hands-on environmental sessions, including snake awareness, solar energy insights with Vinay Sir from Selco Solar Belagavi, bird watching, plastic awareness, water conservation, seed ball making, eco-friendly games, and much more! From bottle irrigation to creating eco-bricks and collecting seeds, students embraced sustainable practices in every activity. #GreenJourney #HasiruPayana #YouthForSeva #EnvironmentEducation #SustainableLiving #JambotiForest #EcoWarriors

Cleanliness is next to godliness. So goes the adage. In the spirit of this statement, we collaborated with Texas Instruments and engaged 86 volunteers in a cleanliness drive at Shivagange. We collected over 49 Kg of plastic waste and handed it over to the Shivagange Village Panchayat. Most of the plastic waste we collected included water bottles and single-use plastics. This reflects how Shivagange, being a tourist destination, has resulted in an accumulation of plastic waste. Let's seize this opportunity to become more responsible travelers by ensuring we leave every destination as clean as, or even cleaner than, when we arrived! #cleanliness #volunteering #seva #texasinstruments Texas Instruments India | Aditya Salian | Andy Smith | Tanuja Singh | Bhaskar Keshavamurthy | RAVISHANKAR RH | Harish Bhat G V
