Book Club: Episode 1 Excited to share that ThinkPlus has successfully finished the first episode of the book club on May 31st at the Visakhapatnam Public Library, after a month of students as well as the faculty picking a book that has interested them and exploring them for a month. The program began with a speech given by Rama Krishna Poliparti, who emphasized the importance of reading, the art of getting lost in a good book, and the very reason we book club came to light– to build a community of readers. Following his inspiring words, presentations have been delved into. Anish Madeti opened the floor with a discussion on "The Art of Happiness" by 14th Dalai Lama and Howard C. Cutler, setting a positive tone for the evening. The presentations then took a fascinating turn, exploring a range of fiction and non-fiction. Finally, a student brought the evening to a thought-provoking close with a presentation on "How to Avoid a Climate Disaster" by Bill Gates. Become Job ready : Interview preparation at PRISM Degree College Thinkplus conducted Mock Interviews and interview preparation session at PRISM Degree College to help the students prepare for the industry and the jobs they will be applying for. The interview format covered a wide variety of common types of Interview questions, followed by a personal mock interview of the students depending on the job descriptions they want to apply for. The session critically decoded the interview processes, discussing common HR-based questions and their ideal answer. The session was designed to help the students understand the skills and abilities needed for interviews. The mock interview created the chance for students to understand the environment of interviews and practice for the actual job interview. Decoding CV and LinkedIn profile: Seminar at PRISM Degree College We were very happy to conduct a seminar with the students of PRISM Degree College, Vizag to help them be job-ready and stand out in front of their competition. The first part of the seminar focused on how to make a good CV which can help present themselves to the recruiters, suggestions to optimize their CVs, and the sections needed in their CVs. The students were given a winning CV format to help curate and optimize their CVs for the internships they will be applied to in the future. The second part of the seminar was dedicated to building and optimizing LinkedIn profiles that can help them gain industry insights, communicate their thoughts, and work to build a professional network.
