Explore the remarkable journey of our Elxsian from the HR team. “I joined Tata Elxsi in 2016 as a campus hire after completing my master's degree in HR. I commenced my career as an HRBP Executive, advanced an Associate Manager, and further was elevated to my current position as a Senior Lead in HR.  Mentorship has been a pivotal aspect of my professional growth and development. Kirthan Dsouza  has been my manager ever since I joined Tata Elxsi. She provided me with essential industry knowledge and helped me realise the importance of valuing the careers and growth of all team members as a manager.  Rajagopalan S, our HR Head, has mentored me by showing the bigger picture and providing valuable insights on HR functions and their impact. He also nominated me for the Tata Future HR Leaders program in 2022. This six-month-long program was an eye-opener, allowing me to interact with HR professionals from other Tata companies learn from their experiences in handling their respective HR functions. Being part of the Young Leads program in 2023 was another significant milestone. As I began managing my own team, I encountered challenges with managing task & people However, the program greatly improved my ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage teams effectively, highlighting the importance of leading in the right direction. My journey has been fulfilling, evolving from an individual contributor to a leader. Tata Elxsi’s supportive environment, open-door policy, and community-like culture have been key to my growth. The company’s focus on work-life balance and flexible leave policies has also allowed me to pursue my passion for travel. At Tata Elxsi, I find a nurturing environment that fosters both professional growth and personal fulfilment. Over the next five years, I am committed to making substantial contributions to the organization. I am deeply passionate about the company's mission and values, and I am eager to play a pivotal role in its long-term success. This week, let’s delve into Bwina M's inspiring journey at Tata Elxsi. "My journey at Tata Elxsi began in October 2019 as a fresher, fulfilling my dream of joining a Tata company. With 5 years of experience, and further growth in my career, currently I am a Software QA Engineer in Automation Testing and Development. Starting my Career with Broadband project, focusing on Modem & Web Automation development using Selenium and Python, despite initial challenges, I significantly improved my skills, confidence, and prioritization abilities by taking ownership of learning. In September 2020, I got the opportunity to work on the Project involving QA Testing on OTT platforms and Set-top box. Motivated by the Project Nature of the work, my efforts earned me the Bravo Award and Customer Appreciation Award in 2021 for Critical Release validation support. Since 2021, I have guided a team of 10 Junior Engineers (offshore/onsite) in QA Testing, Development, and Product insights, earning Spotlight appreciation awards for my leadership. I received Customer Appreciation Awards in 2023 and 2024 for innovative ideas and successful validation in improving efficiency and test coverage. Additionally, I contributed to enhancing test coverage, collaborating with stakeholders, improving reporting for faster resolution on features and functionality, and continuously learning tools and development activities, which also earned customer appreciation. At Tata Elxsi, I was selected for the 2023 Young Leads Program, enhancing my skills in collaboration, critical thinking, communication, business acumen, and problem-solving. I actively participated in initiatives like Bodhi Quiz, Presentation Talks, and Volunteering, which broadened my professional and personal skills. In 2024, I was awarded OGC 2.0 Champion for my role in the Operation Game Changer initiative. Tata Elxsi also promotes work-life balance through extracurricular activities, fostering leadership, teamwork, self-confidence, networking, time management, and cognitive growth. I had the privilege of receiving mentorship from several key individuals at Tata Elxsi. Rajesh Krishnan Mk & Team assisted me on enhancing the Skills on Modem & Web Automation development. Vinod G introduced me to the new platform and guided me on offering insights on Client interaction. Malu Ajay Sasi provided extensive guidance on skill improvement I could pursue and encouraged me to participate in multiple Opportunities. Karthik Narayan H supported my guidance on Leadership Opportunities, Career Advancement and brainstorming session on encouraging with Project Goals. To new joiners: Embrace learning, seek knowledge proactively, and engage with peers and mentors.
