Under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, customers can access loans up to ₹2 lakh with minimal upfront costs or up to ₹6 lakh for systems between 3 KW and 10 KW. For housing societies and MSMEs, loans up to ₹1 Cr are available with attractive interest rates and collateral-free options. Additionally, UDYAM registered MSMEs can secure loans up to ₹30 Cr for EV charging stations, with competitive interest rates and extended repayment tenures. NHPC Renewable Energy Limited and Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited join forces to Solarize India In a significant milestone towards harnessing the power of renewable energy, NHPC Renewable Energy Limited (NHPC REL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NHPC Limited) and Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) have entered into a strategic partnership to implement Rooftop Solar Projects (RTS Projects) on the government buildings of Central Ministries, States, and UTs, under the ambitious PM Surya Ghar Yojna Scheme aiming to achieve 100% solarisation of government owned buildings by December 2025. This collaborative effort aims to transform the energy landscape of India, promoting a cleaner and greener tomorrow, by utilising the available rooftop space on government buildings. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to this effect was signed on July 17, 2024, at NHPC Office Complex, Faridabad, by Sh. S.P. Rathour, CEO, NHPC REL and Deepesh Nanda, CEO & MD, TPREL in the presence of Sh. R. P. Goyal, CMD, Sh. R.K. Chaudhary, Director (Technical & Projects), Sh. Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), Sh. V.R. Shrivastava, ED (REGH), Sh Sandeep Kumar, ED (CMD-Sectt.) & Sh Anuj Kapoor, ED (Finance) from NHPC & Shri Bhavesh Bhayani & Shri Vikrant Dhankhar from TPREL. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has designated NHPC Limited as a Scheme Implementing Partner (SIP) to execute the RTS Projects, which will be implemented through its wholly-owned subsidiary, NHPC-REL.
