Incredible India! This week with my colleagues, back home in India, has once again been extremely exciting. Meeting with our key clients, government officials, key partners and more than anything our teams in Noida, Faridabad, Ahmedabad and Mumbai has been very energizing! Our 2500 team members are delivering the most complex transportation projects across the country in metros, railways and roads. We are involved in the whole cycle of the projects from planning, consulting & advisory, preparing the medium-term future, to the operation stage, supporting our clients in successful implementation of projects. I am proud of our Indian history (our first project ever at SYSTRA was in India, in 1957 for the 25KV electrification of Indian railways), and of our team who work in full alignment with our core values of #Excellence, #Bold Leadership and #ConnectedTeams and pillars of #Ethics&Compliance, Health and Safety #3S and #Sustainability. I was extremely happy to give recognition awards to 35 employees having completed 10, 15, 20 and 25 years in the company. I once again thank them for their commitment to SYSTRA. In India, we innovate, and our clients value it. We have developed new digital tools for managing projects and Health and Safety with our specially developed e-PMC platform. And this is just the start! We are very actively deploying our sustainable design approach and our #Carbontracker digital solution (https://lnkd.in/e_qAGbjV) to our projects with the target of applying it to 100% of them by 2030. This week was an opportunity to see projects where I was personally involved during my 6 years in India, once an engineer (and still one, I hope😊), the Mumbai line 1 is carrying now more than 500,000 passengers per day as per our prediction back in 2005.  We have delivered detailed designs for nearly 900km of elevated metro viaducts (578km being our special U shape viaduct which has become a standard in India), 427 stations (elevated and underground), 16 depots, numerous tunnels, 20000km of roads (single-lane equivalent), 1500km of railways, numerous signature projects in all parts of the world including HSR and are involved in 90% of the Metros built or under construction. We are now expecting next week the government budget which  no doubt will announce impressive investments in infrastructures. We will continue to support India in its incredibly fast development. A Week of Inspiration and Collaboration! Past week was a true highlight for us as we welcomed Jean Charles Vollery, Group COO, to India. The visit was marked by impactful engagements including visits to key clients, and projects. Who knew our office space had such great yoga vibes? 21st June 2024 marked the 10th International Yoga Day and reminded us to take a step back and care for our bodies and minds, not just our to-do lists. We at SYSTRA turned our offices into a place of peace and wellness. From energizing Zumba sessions to soothing meditation, our team embraced a collective moment of serenity. Guided by a certified instructor, employees of all levels joined in to boost their physical health, mental clarity, and emotional balance. It was amazing to see everyone unwind and recharge, reinforcing our commitment to a healthy, balanced work environment.
