I made a bold but confident promise to over a hundred people recently, “It’s just a matter of time, Svar will not just be a hope…”. Hi Everyone, I recently had the pleasure of representing Svar at #PurpleTalk 1.4, an initiative by the DEPwD at the National Institute of Social Defence, New Delhi. This event brought together various companies and organizations from across the country, innovating in the field of disabilities, to present their ideas to the chief guest, Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, DEPwD, GOI, and Key figures and directors from premier institutes. Amidst over a hundred people, I took the stage to share Svar’s vision and the passion behind it. I presented Svar's innovative approach, one the audience couldn’t have imagined earlier - enabling parents to themselves be their child’s therapist. And this is not an overstatement or my delusion, but indeed what we are doing at Svar. A lot of questions followed my speech, which led to some great discussions and collaboration opportunities. Rajesh sir gave a special mention to Svar and remarked “ With Svar, there is some hope and something for the people”, hoping that Svar and fellow entrepreneurs will bring about a beautiful change. As I concluded, I thanked them all, and made a bold but confident promise, “Thanks for your advice and support Rajesh Sir. I promise you all, it’s just a matter of time, Svar will not just be a hope, it will be everything the people need”. The adrenaline rush, when everyone stood up and clapped, was incredible. Are you aware of Government's new initiative Purple Talk 1.4 ? Hey Community! A week after our initial meeting with Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, We were invited to visit his office at Antyodaya Bhawan, Central Government Offices Complex, New Delhi. 🏢 Navigating the security clearances, we finally sat down with him to delve into a profound discussion about the disabilities sector in India. Mr. Aggarwal revealed how the government is crafting numerous policies to support individuals with impairments and expressed his concerns about the lack of innovative solutions to assist people with special needs. He highlighted the government's active efforts to support technological innovations in this field. 🛠️✨ Mr. Aggarwal, a CS graduate himself, showed keen interest in our in-house #AI models, which blend technological precision with human care. 🤖❤️ We discussed past challenges faced by innovators and how recent advancements in #LLM have enabled us to overcome these hurdles. 🚀 Furthermore, we explored plans on how Svar could be brought to people suffering from speech difficulties and how the government could play a significant role as a stakeholder in this mission. Mr. Aggarwal introduced us to the heads of several national institutions like the PDU National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities Delhi, AYJNIHH Noida, Kolkata & Mumbai, AIISH Mysore, and NISH, Kerala. 🏫 These are leading institutions for research and advancements in the disabilities sector, and we explored potential collaborations for research and testing to build something people want. 🤝 Excitingly, Mr. Aggarwal invited us to present SVAR at #PurpleTalk 1.4, an initiative by the DEPwd at the National Institute of Social Defence, New Delhi. 📢 This event aims to bring together innovators in the disability field to present their solutions to key industry stakeholders, including government officials, institutional heads 🏛️, and domain experts. Curious about the Government of India's stance on speech disability? Hi Community!! Last month, I, Ujjwal Mathur and Tejas Kumar had the privilege of meeting with Mr Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwd), Government of India. We discussed the pressing issue of #SpeechDisability in India and the challenges faced by those in need of #SpeechTherapy. Mr Rajesh Aggarwal highlighted a significant concern, stating, "Despite our best efforts, we are only able to reach less than 5% of the people in dire need of speech therapy." This underscores the urgency of the situation and the need for innovative solutions. Following the discussion we introduced him Svar, how we are on a mission to revolutionize #SpeechTherapy, making it accessible and affordable for everyone suffering from #SpeechDisorders. Our app is designed to make speech therapy accessible, affordable and more efficient, leveraging cutting-edge technology to reach those who have been underserved. Have you ever faced difficulty in communicating with your peers or loved ones? Well, millions of people across the world do.   Hey Everyone, I am Ujjwal Mathur, a 3rd year CSE Major at IIT Delhi. If the answer to the question is a yes, then I am building for you and your loved ones. We, at Svar, are empowering you to yourself be the speech therapist for you or your kid. The inspiration dates back to my childhood, as I used to stutter as a kid, and hailing from a small town, Kannauj, I could not find any speech therapist around. The Internet was of no use as well as there was nothing that let you improve your speech. I have myself felt what it does to you when you cannot “interact”, it leads to bullying, isolation, and lack of confidence. When I came to IIT Delhi, I wanted to build something for people, and so did my hostel mate, Tejas Kumar. Both of us have had personal encounters with speech disorders and a lack of speech therapy solutions, this was one thing we both wanted to build on, and we co-founded Svar, a mix of technology, care, and culture, with a mission to transform the way speech therapy is accessed and delivered. I am leading the product design and business operations. Moving forward, I’ll be sharing regular updates on our journey at Svar.
