We are constantly striving to promote and encourage our talented employees realise their potential both within and outside of their work. Being the #Innovation hub of the Group, one of our key focus areas is on Data/AI literacy. One such initiative is ‘Mathwizz’, which has been incredibly successful in bringing together Data and Math lovers! The focus is on relearning Math concepts that are fundamental to the dynamic and evolving eco-system of analytics and AI. The interest group started off with four enthusiasts and began with curated quizzes on a series of topics like hypotheses testing, linear regression and linear algebra. The community now boasts of 150 plus enthusiasts! From hosting regular sessions to conceptualising and launching full scale events like the 'Mathwizzathon', an annual academia-partnership driven event, this initiative has grown leaps and bounds. The team is also looking at external collaborations and events with other fellow GCCs. We wish them all the success and more growth! Here’s what stood out:   #CommunityCareWeek that reinforced our commitment to caring for our communities, #SharingIsCaring weeklong donation drive with Share At Door Step to collect clothes, toys and books for underprivileged communities.   Other highlights: 🍀 'Surprising Science of Giving Back', a session by Anushka Jain (sustainability-tech enthusiast) founder of SADS on to reflect on our “Language of giving”. 🍀‘Easy steps to sustainable living’, a session by Divya Tiwari, Chief Knowledge Officer from Sahaas helping us reflect on day-to-day practices like waste segregation/lifestyle choices to achieve sustainable living 🍀 A session on importance of giving back with Sumanth Nayak 🍀 A meet with Mahesh Bathija and Ranjeet Santhakumar where they highlighted SG GSC’s sustainability goals and initiatives and felicitated winners of the #SustainableStory Competition 🍀‘Gift of Life’ - Organ donation awareness by Aprajita Verma, COO Organ India 🍀Sustainable transport solutions by Bicycle Mayor of Bangalore Sathyanarayanan Sankaran and Tameem Ansari, a differently abled cyclist.   Big shoutout to our volunteers. We persevered and how! Last Saturday, at the crack of dawn, while the rest of Chennai was nestled deep in slumber, 600 of our Chennai office employees marched over to Pattinapakkam beach to take part in the Neela Kadal Thooimai Pattinam, the beach clean-up drive. Happening in collaboration with our #CSR partner Saahas , this is the biggest volunteering event of the year so far, across our offices. Together, our employee-volunteers cleaned up 2.3 tonnes of trash and set an example for other beach-goers! We thank our Chennai office employees, leadership and Saahas for making this event a huge success.
