SIDBI, as a Development Financial Institution (DFI), has been at the forefront of greening India's enterprise ecosystem. With the recent approval of US$ 215.6 million by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) for the Financing Mitigation and Adaptation Projects (FMAP) for Indian MSMEs, SIDBI is set to enhance its efforts. The programme aims to support the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India to adopt low emission and climate resilient technologies, thereby contributing to the Net Zero targets of the country. The FMAP program allocates US$ 15.6 million for capacity building and US$ 200 million for concessional finance, aiming to offer 10,000 loans, reduce GHG emissions by 35.3 million tonnes, and benefit over 10.8 million individuals.
