Digital Twins are helping industries analyse their assets and maintain a digital copy of them. Right from real-time fault detection, to predictive and preventive maintenance, building the digital twin is the first step. Start with the smaller steps, it's possible for everyone. #digitaltwins #iot #ai #smartfactories #smartvehicle #smartautomotive

I recently completed my summer internship at Shalaka Connected Devices as a part of the BITS PS1 program. I worked on an IoT-based project titled 'Car Digital Twin'. A digital twin is a virtual representation of a vehicle, using real-time data from IoT sensors to mirror its physical and functional attributes. The project was divided into three teams. The hardware team collected data from the car's Controller Area Network (CAN) via an OBD2 port and sent it to the backend team via an MQTT broker. The backend engine receives data from the MQTT broker and stores it in a database. The backend team was also responsible for building an API. The frontend team built the UI for the project, which would display real-time metrics of data received for analysis. I worked in the backend team, where we wrote code for the backend engine and also built and tested the API. I'd like to extend my sincere thanks to Hrishikesh Kamat sir, Rohit Rajapure sir and Chinmay Kulkarni sir for providing this opportunity and guiding us throughout the project. Working with such a wonderful team was a privilege and a valuable learning experience. Attached below: A pic of our team celebrating the last day of the internship! 😊
