SASTRA has established a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) and 3D Printing in association with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. We named our company as FIRST - Foundation for Innovation & Research at SASTRA Technology Business Incubator. We are a theme based Incubator , a registered 'Not for Profit' society supported by strong, capable advisory body. Our goal is to help Startup Entrepreneurs realize their dreams through a range of infrastructure, business advisory, mentoring and financial services. Our Advisory Body consists of Industrialists, Venture Capitalists, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Research Scientists, Management Gurus and Accomplished Leaders. FIRST is a unique initiative by SASTRA Deemed University and partnered by NITI Aayog, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India FIRST’s vision is to nurture technology start-up businesses. We incubate startups by providing necessary resources & support required to evolve and as a mature business. FIRST will support their incubates to turn ideas and concepts into successful competitive businesses. FIRST will provide an environment to develop essential business management skills and systems that will enable start ups to grow as business leaders. We are excited to announce the fifth year of our STEM initiative, offering free STEM Lab Kits to 10 schools in Tamil Nadu. These kits aim to provide students with a hands-on learning experience. We invite interested schools with basic infrastructure and a willingness to participate in the selection process to apply. Only shortlisted schools will be invited for the screening process. Requirements: 1. The school must have more than 500 students. 2. A STEM Coordinator must be appointed. 3. Should be ready to allocate Lab space 1000 sq.ft along with basic infrastructure to accommodate 30 students,3 systems with proper WiFi connection,1 Display board/LED TV for STEM LAB. 4 . Primary and elementary schools are not eligible. 5. Schools that already have Atal/STEM/Robotic kits are not encouraged to apply.
