Continuing with our 𝐒𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫-𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬, we conducted a workshop for multi-purpose workers, health supervisors, health assistants, health inspectors and lab scientific officers from the Shahuwadi, Hatkanangale, Shirol, Panhala, Gaganbawda and Karveer talukas in #Kolhapur. Conducted in association with the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥, and the local 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 the Saksham series is aimed towards empowering field workers with knowledge about vector-borne diseases and it’s changing parameters, with special focus on #dengue and #chikungunya . The workshop was attended by over 250 workers, and hosted interesting discussions on the real-time issues faced by the workers along with theory sessions by experts affiliated with the RCSM Govt. Medical College, Kolhapur, National Institute Of Virology - India and National Vector-borne Disease Control Program.
