World Action is a Panasonic Group corporate social responsibility (CSR) program that encourages the Group’s approximately 230,000 employees worldwide to take simple steps in their daily lives to support environmental activities. This year’s initiative, World Action 2024, is taking place from June 5 (World Environment Day) through August 30. World Action 2024 is focused on helping employees learn more about “Eco-Actions”—using reusable ecobags when shopping, buying and using locally made products, conserving electricity, and reducing food waste, among others—and discover how individual acts taken by tens of thousands of people can scale into something remarkable. We concluded the first phase of Kid Witness News, our CSR initiative that aims to boost awareness about UN Sustainable Development Goals among school students and create short films on the same using Panasonic's LUMIX cameras. This was an exciting phase, where we conducted workshops with participating schools, helping them with hands-on experience in camera operation, editing, and other aspects of video production. This helped them develop critical thinking skills and gave them a voice to express ideas on community issues, environmental concerns, or social justice. Do stay tuned for further updates as we await the films that these young minds create. #sustainability #skilldevelopment #CSR #SDG #KWN Pooja Garg Khan
