𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥. Recently, I was invited to attend the #29for29 event at Canada House, organized by the MASH Project Foundation. This inspiring event focused on youth-led climate action and environmental sustainability. A young speaker's, who cleared his 10th boards few months back, simple yet powerful statement resonated deeply: "𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞, 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞." And we can see the effects of climate change already. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and biodiversity loss threaten our planet's health and our very existence. The #29for29 campaign celebrates young leaders actively tackling climate change. And events like these keep these young individuals at the forefront. Their stories inspire hope and underscore the urgency of collective action. We all have a role to play. I had the opportunity to connect with some of these inspiring individuals, including Gautam Malik (We/Us), Aashish Beergi, and Ashish Pahwa. The work they're doing to tackle climate change were truly inspiring. Events like #29for29 serve as a wake-up call, highlighting the critical need for climate education. From classrooms to boardrooms, raising awareness about the impact of our choices is essential. Lately, I have observed that there is an inherent problem in India regarding how much food we eat. I feel that this problem persists in almost every household in India. In some way, this issue is related to the boss of the household, in my case, it's my mother. So, I have observed that whenever food is prepared, usually three times a day, the person in charge doesn't want any leftovers. They encourage everyone eating, including themselves, to eat more than is necessary because they want everything that is prepared to be finished. I feel this is one of the concerning problems in India that we all need to discuss. We don't pay much attention on how much we are eating, and we overeat, and this excess eating may lead to a lot of problems. I believe it's important to start having discussions because it will not only promote a healthier lifestyles but it may also reduce food wastage. What do you think, and does this happen in your home as well? NuttyVillage

Fostering Sustainable Agriculture through NuttyVillage.in - Founder | UNDP YOUTH CO-LAB

Recently, we had the opportunity to engage in a 1-on-1 conversation with Abhishek K., and let me tell you, it was both fun and a great learning experience. We discussed a wide range of topics related to startups, from building a strong team to passion, integrity, and much more. However, one key takeaway that resonated with me was the importance of company finance for startups. Abhishek emphasized that many startups don't pay enough attention to their finances in the early stages, and he highlighted why this is a mistake. He stressed the importance of being vigilant and informed about your company's financial health from the outset. While you may not be a finance guru, it's essential to understand the basics of company finance. My key takeaway from this interaction is , even if we're not a finance expert, taking the time to learn about company finance can be invaluable for the success and longevity of a startup. In the fertile lands that stretch along the majestic River Ganga, a group of passionate farmers dedicate their days to mastering the age-old art of groundnut cultivation. Groundnuts, known for their vital role in food and oil production, find a special place in the heart of Indian agriculture, fulfilling key protein and caloric needs as highlighted by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization. The story deepens with the involvement of NuttyVillage, a company committed to transforming these humble groundnuts into high-protein natural peanut butter. Sourcing directly from the verdant banks near Unnao, Nutty Village champions a farm-to-jar philosophy ensuring that each jar of peanut butter retains the pure taste and freshness of its ingredients, delivering an irresistible crunch that’s savored by peanut butter lovers. Further enhancing the narrative, Farmonaut, a pioneering agricultural tech company, enters with a mission to revolutionize farming with its advanced satellite-based monitoring and traceacbility systems. By offering cutting-edge solutions for irrigation management, water conservation, and real-time crop health insights through satellites, Farmonaut not only helps improve the yield but also ensures the sustainability of farming practices along the Ganga belt. The collaboration continues beyond cultivation, as Farmonaut also ensures the traceability of the groundnuts from the moment they are planted to the point they are transformed into delicious peanut butter, creating a transparent journey from farm to consumer. Thanks to the symbiotic partnership between Nutty Village and Farmonaut, these dedicated farmers are not only overcoming obstacles such as labor demands and environmental challenges but are also setting a benchmark for sustainable agricultural practice. Let's raise a toast to these unsung heroes of the Ganga belt, whose relentless dedication ensures that the future of groundnut farming is as promising and sustainable as ever! Did you know that India has one of the lowest protein consumption rates worldwide, with an average of only 48 grams per person per day, according to a research. What's even more concerning is that many of us aren't aware of how much protein we actually need each day. While some of us may eat vegetarian/cereal centric food which may be rich in protein, it's important to question if that alone fulfills our daily protein needs, especially in a largely vegetarian country like India. The EAT Lancet-Commission report highlights that Indians tend to consume more simple carbohydrates and fewer complex carbohydrates, proteins, fruits, and vegetables in their diets. The Indian Consumer Market 2020 also reveals that a significant portion of the monthly food budget is spent on cereals and processed foods, with only a small fraction allocated to protein-rich foods. So, what can you do? It's crucial to become more conscious and informed about protein sources and ensure they are included in your diet. Click here for more information. https://lnkd.in/gvY6_jbp

"70% of 36 popular protein supplements sold in India are mislabeled, with 14% containing toxins." Now this report just adds to our recent post highlighting India's protein deficiency and the lack of good protein sources available. The recent report, "The Protein Project," shows a critical truth: as Indians, we often overlook the importance of protein sources, their authenticity and their accountability and we are unaware of our own nutritional needs. We lack both in demand as well as supply side. While demand for protein remains high, the study uncovers deficiencies on the supply side, casting doubt on the authenticity and purity of available protein supplements. This revelation prompts a pressing question: are we holding brands accountable for the products we consume? It's time to start asking the tough questions and demand transparency in the quality of not onlyprotein supplements but whatever we cosnume. Let's advocate for safer, more reliable options.
