Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd. signed a significant agreement with Rahata Milk Union in the presence of Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries, Government of Maharashtra during a ceremony in Shirdi, Ahmednagar District. Shri Jayatheertha Chary, Deputy Managing Director of MDFVPL, represented Mother Dairy, while Shri Raosaheb Vasantrao Deshmukh, Chairman represented Rahata Taluka Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh Maryadit. The event was also graced by Shri V. Srinivas, Regional Head (Western Region) NDDB Mumbai, and Shri Anil Hatekar, Managing Director, Maharashtra Rajya Sahakari Dudh Mahasangh. This partnership will enable Rahata Taluka Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh to supply surplus milk to Mother Dairy, enhancing milk procurement from local farmers and boosting milk production in Rahata Taluka, contributing to the growth and prosperity of the region’s dairy industry.

In 1965, Dr. Verghese Kurien, the visionary known as the Father of the White Revolution, laid the foundation of an initiative that forever changed our country’s dairying landscape – the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). As an apex dairy development institution of the country, NDDB has transformed India’s rural economy by making dairying viable and sustainable for millions of milk producers while addressing the country’s need for self-sufficiency in milk production. From humble beginnings to contributing around 25% of the world’s total milk production, India's dairy story is one of resilience, innovation, and progress, led by NDDB. Ltd. in the august presence of Shri Conrad Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Frederick Roy, IAS, Principal Secretary, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department, Govt. of Meghalaya, Dr. Vijay Kumar D, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Govt. of Meghalaya, Dr. Meenesh Shah, Chairman, National Dairy Development Board, and Shri Manish Bandlish, Managing Director, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd., towards a strategic partnership for growth and promotion of agricultural products from Meghalaya.   This partnership is yet another testament to our collective efforts of connecting India's diverse agricultural heritage with urban consumers, bringing a variety of finest produce from across states to our discerning consumers, nationally and internationally. Through this initiative, under our horticulture arm Safal, we will provide improved extension and marketing services to the farmers of Meghalaya, who produce high-quality fruits and vegetables.
