"You never forget your first"? Well, it's true, especially when it comes to #customers! The one who took a chance on you before anyone else did. It was Jayna Packaging Pvt Ltd, a company that crafts innovative and sustainable packaging solutions from corrugated boards. They specialise in a wide range of products, including Floor Displays and Counter Displays. They're not only known for their creative solutions, but also for their willingness to embrace new #technologies, consistently pushing the boundaries in their industry. They faced #challenges finding reliable hotmelt dispensing systems until they crossed paths with us. Back when we were starting out, Jayna Packaging trusted us with their needs. They became our very first customer for our hotmelt dispensing systems in 1997. Their founder, Mr. Haresh Mehta - Mehta, was looking for a system that delivered #quality, and we were up for the challenge. We developed our very first machine, tailored to their specific needs. The company attended with its partner, FELIX GLUER®, a Polish firm specializing in XY gluer plotter machines renowned as the world's fastest. This collaboration provided a unique #opportunity to learn and network with industry peers. Our team, including Parshva Shah and Monali, engaged in numerous conversations with potential #customers and #partners, gaining valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in the printing and packaging industries. One of the highlights of the Drupa experience was interacting with various machine manufacturers. These interactions were particularly enlightening as they provided insights into how these companies are engaging with the Indian market. While some manufacturers had local representatives, a significant number faced challenges in catering to the Indian market. The primary issues were the high prices of their machines and the intense competition from more affordable Chinese alternatives. Collaborating with Felix Gluer deepened our understanding of the latest trends and technologies, particularly in the realm of XY glue plotters, which are ideal for POS display manufacturers and box manufacturers looking to run short sampling runs or apply glue to intricate designs. A key takeaway from the event was the significant emphasis on automation throughout the industry. You know how weather can affect your mood, your plans, even what you wear? Well, it turns out weather can also affect your packaging. Don't believe me? Here’s a relatable story from a while ago- At Mahisa Packaging Systems LLP, one of our #customers had us design the perfect machine for their product. We ran trials, tested the ideal adhesive, and everything worked flawlessly in the warm Mumbai weather. The client was thrilled, and we were happy. But then, the machine was shipped up to Jammu, where it's much colder, and suddenly the glue didn't hold as we expected. It was a head-scratcher at first, but then we realized the #temperature change was the culprit. Finding different adhesives that worked for that climate was a #challenge we embraced, and another #lesson learned. You might be surprised how much the choice of glue matters. It goes beyond the weather. Some glues just don't hold well, leading to boxes popping open. The machinery itself is critical – too slow to dry, and it could impact the product inside, but too quickly, and the box might not seal properly. It seems like a small detail, but the wrong adhesive can make a huge difference in the overall #customerexperience. That's the kind of #problemsolving we focus on.
