women often face unique financial challenges, from the gender pay gap to career breaks, and traditional financial advice doesn’t always address these realities. learning to navigate investments, manage risks, and build wealth independently becomes crucial for us to secure our financial future. last weekend in bengaluru, Sneha Jain, founder at Wealth Trust Capital Services LLP, got 30 ambitious members together to break this down. here are some 📝 from our notepad:  • set clear financial goals and prioritize needs over wants to create a holistic financial plan. identify income sources (salary, side hustle, passive income) and expenses (fixed and variable), then allocate funds to assets and save/invest accordingly.  • consider inflation (6-7% rate) while planning your investments and opt for assets that beat inflation, such as equity, stocks, bonds, and gold. downside protection is also crucial: maintain an emergency fund (6-12 months), health/medical insurance, and term insurance.  • wealth creation requires calculated risk-taking, long-term investing, and discipline. avoid quick money/shortcuts, as compounding magic (snowball effect) yields better returns over time.  • create passive income through disciplined investing in mutual funds, real estate, and gold. consider inflation-adjusted travel planning and invest in goal-mapped products with inflation-adjusted returns.  • efficient portfolio management involves limiting schemes to 10, prioritizing saving over spending, and staying invested for the long haul. oh, and get yourself that financial expert! want to attend many more such skill-based workshops with solid leaders? join the movement - www.leap.club

a purposeful and 'humbition' filled saturday at our bombay club with Lulu Raghavan. we had 25 members discuss 3 important topics from lulu’s newest baby - ‘go further, faster’. we spoke through: - facing rejections - asking for a raise the right way - how to not let our egos get in the way of our careers post this no-filter hour, we deep dived into everyone’s personal brand strategies along with the 5 w's, 5 d's and 3 p's (can't let it all out, can we?) 📚 some learnings we’re keeping close to our hearts though: — go in before you go out: self reflect and understand what your x factor is. when do you shine? what’s your blind spot? go do that long-overdue 360 analysis! — ask yourself the 5 why’s: start with ‘why do you wake up everyday?’ followed by 4 more why’s to understand the core of your purpose  — what’s your point of difference? identify and build your elevator pitch (beyond your designation) - leave the person wanting to know you more  — craft your personality. it is hands down the best way is to engage with people around you. eg. if you were a magazine/ animal/ furniture/ color, what would you be? ngl, we had so much fun making our co-founder Ragini Das the guinea pig for this one ;) — what would your obituary read? what’s the legacy you want to leave behind? and most importantly, how far are you from there, today? want it on such thought provoking workshops? club memberships for october are open: https://leap.club/offline

earlier this week, we hosted our first pecha kucha night at the club! for those unfamiliar, pecha kucha is a storytelling format where speakers share their journey through 20 slides, each displayed for 20 seconds – a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds to captivate the room. here are some incredible highlights from our six inspiring members who put their best storyteller hats on : Aruna Chawla spoke powerfully about the importance of women taking up space and setting boundaries, grounding her talk in the four core needs: safety, connection, activation, and rest. Nitima Singh took us through the journey of the indian naari over the last two centuries, filled with anecdotes and inspiring tales of women through indian history efforts and legacies continue to shape the modern indian woman. srishti govind, a healer, used schrodinger’s cat and the butterfly effect to explain how the universe speaks the language of questions, not affirmations—offering a new perspective on consciousness. Karanika Mahindra shared valuable insights on sustainable eating, including the clever "grandma test" from michael pollan — simple, practical tips for making more eco-conscious food choices. Kiran Makhija beautifully linked permaculture principles to daily life, encouraging us to apply garden therapy for daily joy—starting with something as simple as shorter showers to celebrating small wins! Vishwani Marwah shared a deeply personal story of burnout and her sabbatical journey, reminding us that productivity is all about intentional time use, not just doing more. all the stories and topics truly resonated with everyone, highlighting the power of creating a safe space for women to share their journeys. want in on unique experiences like this? join the leap.club waitlist today to become a part of our community : https://leap.club/offline/

we cracked the code on how ideas ≠ strategy on tuesday night with Nikki Gupta, founder at We do (things), and what an important session it was! here are some key takeaways we’re keeping handy: - bringing together two things that seem completely unrelated often gives you a powerful idea 💡 - when you take action towards an agenda or an idea, you work towards building a "strategy" 📝 - a solid strategy follows this framework: problem >> insight >> advantage >> strategy 🧠 - the first thought that comes to mind isn’t usually the real problem. to get to the root of the issue, ask “why” multiple times—often, the true problem is found in the 5th or 6th layer of questioning. rigorous > lazy thinking always ✔️ - strategy isn’t about immediate success. it’s about learning, adapting, and refining over time ⏰ how do you approach strategy and problem-solving? share your thoughts in the comments, we’d love to co-learn!
