"If your Zomato order is late or there is a defect in your order from Myntra, as an urban consumer, you can simply download the app and type in a customer complaint. You converse with the executive through chat and get a resolution. Rural India doesn’t convey its customer complaints similarly. Rural India doesn’t seek service similarly. Rural India doesn’t search similarly. The information pipeline through which the average Linkedin user gets information is different from the one that Rural India uses. Product awareness pipelines are different. Customer engagement pipelines are different. Sales and service lead pipelines are different." Read this article to understand why organisations need to revisit their communication strategy in order to reach out to Rural India that is Bharat. #farmers #agriculture #Bharat #ruralIndia

I have a confession: I have an OCD when it comes to numbers. While driving, unbeknownst to my wife who is cluelessly chatting away next to me, I am happily adding the digits on the number plates of the vehicles overtaking me. To check whether they are divisible by 3? Or 9? Or 11? My OCD aside, numbers are powerful! They tell stories, fascinating, provocative, alarming, intriguing, gut wrenching stories within a few digits. I mention 6 Million Jews or 27 trillion USD or 2 °C and need I say more? Here are a few numbers related to the impact of climate change on agriculture that could and should and would titillate and intrigue and dare I say, alarm you. 1.     6% and 10%: Global wheat yields are projected to decrease by 6% for each degree Celsius rise in temperature, while rice yields could fall by up to 10%. 2.     1.8 Billion: By 2025, 1.8 billion people will be living in countries or regions with absolute water scarcity, impacting irrigation and agricultural productivity. 3.     1.5 Trillion: Climate change could reduce global agricultural productivity by 17% by 2050, resulting in economic losses estimated at $1.5 trillion. 4.     20%: Climate change could increase food prices by up to 20% by 2050, making it harder for low-income populations to access affordable food. 5.     25%:  Heat stress from climate change could reduce livestock productivity by upto 25% in tropical and subtropical regions by 2050. 6.     Again, 25%:  Increased temperatures and changing precipitation patterns could degrade up to 25% of the world’s arable land by 2050. 7.     50%:  Rising temperatures could increase the spread of agricultural pests and diseases, potentially reducing crop yields by up to 50% in some regions. 8.     20%: Sea level rise and increased salinity could render up to 20% of the world's coastal agricultural land unusable by 2050. The need of the hour is for all stakeholders, heck I would call of you ‘Food Warriors’: Agri input, Food aggregators, Food processing, Agri equipments, Agri Insurance and Agri Finance to come together and strategize with the policy holders to create a robust framework to counter the impact of climate change on agriculture. Else, the numbers, whether they are divisible by 3 or not, look very, very bleak.

If you are an agro input company and you want to run a loyalty program for your customer, who is the farmer, you will find that it is immensely difficult. 😩 Most seeds, fertilizers and pesticides companies are blind beyond their dealers. They probably have no data as to who their farmer is, what SKU and in what quantity he or she buys, his location, cropping patterns, time of purchase, service needs, product usage feedback, etc. If you have to communicate directly to your loyal farmer, you are unable to. If you have to give a discount or a gift to your loyal farmer, you are unable to. If you have to service your loyal farmer, you are unable to. If you want to simply ask product feedback from a loyal farmer, you are unable to. 🤗 KrishiMandir's AI driven Farmer Loyalty Management Module enables you to track your farmer and conduct farmer loyalty programs across a whole spectrum of products and schemes. Since our modules are housed on Whatsapp, it ensures maximum accessibility and ease of use. 🍇 It is time for companies in the agricultural space to shed their 'No Data' status and adopt Big Data and Artificial Intelligence as tools to reinvent the way they manage their relationship with their farmers. Ankit Patel delves into the intricacies of establishing a brand funnel for a rural brand in the 40 billion USD Agro Input industry. A highly dealer dependent, recommendation driven industry, manufacturers can differentiate themselves not only through robust product performance (that's a given), but also through prompt servicing, farmer query resolution and regular farmer engagement.

🌾 What is Brand Funnel for Agri Input Products (Seeds, Fertilizers and Pesticide products)? 🌿 In a very cluttered market of Agri Input industry (more than 7000 manufacturers in India), sales is mainly driven by Agro Dealers and Field staff.  🌴 Proper brand positioning gives distinctive advantage for easy acceptance of brand. So how does the Agri Input Brand Funnel Work? 🌿 1. Awareness : This is the first step of Brand building. Make sure that your target farmers know atleast your brand name, regardless of whether it is the Umbrella Brand or Product Brand.  ☘️ 2. Consideration : Once the brand is known to the farmer, it is easy for him/her to consider it amongst the set of other products before he make the actual purchase. 🌴 3. Purchase : Once the brand is considered by the farmer, there are more chances that he/she will make the purchase. Of course, certain level of push is required when the purchase of the product is for the first time. Here the Agro Dealers play a critical role. 🌾 4. Loyalty : Your farmer coming to purchase your product repeatedly is a sign of loyalty. This depends on mainly three things. First - The product quality, Second - Optimum and proper usage of product and Third - Instant query resolution. Combination of all these three makes your farmer a loyal customer. 🏝️ 5. Advocacy : Your loyal farmer is the best sales person of your brand/ product? A satisfied and a loyal farmer will always promote your product amongst other farmers. If you can continuously engage and service your loyal farmer, then he or she will be the best sales person you can hope for. #agriculture

"The whole world depends on the farmers. The sustenance of the world rests on farmers. If someone suffers the most, then it is only farmers because they always bear the brunt of all kinds of oppression". "My only desire is that India should be a good producer, and no one should be hungry, shedding tears for food in the country". These were words of our true farmer leader Shree Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. We, on behalf of the entire farming community, wish everyone a Happy Sardar Patel Jayanti.🙏🙏🙏
