Team ITC celebrates #SwachhataHiSeva 2024! This year, the campaign was titled ‘Swabhav Swachhata Sanskar Swachhata’ and was initiated from 17th September to October 2nd with the objective of embedding cleanliness into daily behaviour and promoting widespread public participation to develop clean and hygienic habitation. Under the aegis of ITC's flagship initiatives - ITC Sanitation & Waste Management and ITC WOW (Wellbeing Out of Waste), ITC partnered with State Swachh Bharat Missions, Urban Local Bodies, Gram Panchayats, Schools, SHGs, Mohalla Committees and local citizens to organise widespread Swachhata campaigns across multiple states of the country. Diverse initiatives, such as Swachhata Pledges in schools and community, Awareness Rallies, Cyclathons, Swachhta Raths, advocacy workshops, waste to art installations, cultural programmes, plantation drives and Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs were organised during the last fortnight. Commemorating 50 years of Bengali rock music, Bingo! Tedhe Medhe by ITC presents ‘Rockanjali’, an anthem that brings together iconic Bengali bands Cactus, Lakkhichara, and Chandrabindoo. Adding to the grand celebration and in keeping with its efforts to keep this legacy alive, the ‘Rockanjali’ contest offers a platform for 120 budding musicians, with 15 finalists set to perform in a ‘Concert on Wheels’ tour across Kolkata’s Durga puja pandals.
