About us
Since its founding in 1995, the International School of Photonics has grown to become one of the flagship, known for the excellence of its teaching, its research, and its service to national and international communities. ISP currently has more than 180 students of whom 100 are M.Sc ( 5 year Integrated), 36 are M.Tech (Optoelectronics and Laser Technology), 40 are PhD students and 5 Post Doctoral Fellows.

Congratulations to Dixon Sajan, who recently graduated with a 5-year MSc in Photonics from the International School of Photonics, CUSAT, for joining as a Research Assistant under a Marie Curie project at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Denmark. Dixon is working in the Nanophotonic Devices Group led by Prof. Kresten Yvind. He is now focusing on the "Characterization of different SOA designs and operating conditions for tailoring the output spectrum and power of swept source lasers," in collaboration with NETLAS. International School of Photonics congratulates Aiswarya S and Sreelakshmi S, final year students of the 5-year Integrated MSc Photonics, for being selected for an International Exchange Program at the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT), France. Both students will be spending one semester at UTT, based on an agreement between Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and UTT. After the completion of the fall semester, the students will continue to undertake a project at UTT or similar institutions in France.
