International Council for Circular Economy (#ICCE) in collaboration with Chase India released a survey report during India Circular Economy Forum #ICEF2024 on 11th July at IHC, New Delhi. A survey titled "𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒑𝒔 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒓 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑩𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒕" was conducted to gather insights from #startups in #recycling, #wastemanagement, #agriculture, #AI-enabled services, #sustainableproduct manufacturing, and #sustainablefashion. The survey aimed to identify gaps and challenges in the #circulareconomy from the perspectives of #policy frameworks, infrastructure, technology adoption, and other crucial factors. The findings provide an overview of the state of circular economy startups, their regulatory interactions, consumer awareness levels, and the essential role of government support. Mr. Anirban Deb, Senior Manager at Chase India, highlighted the challenges addressed by startups and discussed specific policy, regulatory, and government initiatives for the future. The report emphasizes the critical role of #stategovernments in promoting #circularinitiatives, urging them to establish dedicated #funds similar to Tamil Nadu's Rs 1,000-crore #GreenFund for #renewableenergy and #climatechange mitigation. The report also called for enhanced adoption of #technology and #innovation, proposing hackathons to encourage startups and innovators to address circular economy challenges. Furthermore, #infrastructure development was deemed essential, with a focus on identifying Circular and Sustainable Corridors (#CSCs) to support sustainable practices. Consumer #awareness initiatives, such as MeitY’s #GREENE program, were recognized as vital for promoting circular practices at various societal levels, advocating for district-level educational campaigns. Lastly, the importance of capacity building was stressed, to create an inclusive circular economy ecosystem that integrates the informal sector. International Council for Circular Economy partners with RISE, a research laboratory of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Brescia, to push the boundaries of futuristic supply chains that are circular, digital, and servitized. According to our MD Mrs Shalini Goyal Bhalla, companies excelling in these areas will gain significant competitive advantages and ensure long-term sustainability. Together, #ICCE and #RISE are working on a Sectoral Mapping of the Electrical & Electronics (E&E) manufacturing sector. This includes manufacturers, recyclers, and waste management companies. Our goal? To analyze existing #practices and evaluate their alignment with #CircularEconomy (CE) principles. By identifying key players and their current #CE practices, we aim to uncover potential synergies and collaboration opportunities. Connecting companies with complementary capabilities will foster knowledge sharing and develop joint circular economy initiatives. We invite the companies in #E&E sector, to explore how they can go #circular. Follow the simple steps below- 1) For this, click and login at https://lnkd.in/de4pTzf8 2) Go to “Start Assessment” and answer questions (will not take more than 30 min) 3) Once all dimensions are blue, click “submit” to complete. 4) At your dashboard, see your company results Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards a sustainable future! #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #Innovation #SupplyChain #ICCE #RISE #Collaboration #SectoralMapping #FutureOfManufacturing #CircularSupplyChains #DigitalTransformation
