“Your MVP doesn’t need to be perfect; it just needs to be out there.” That was one of the many lightbulb moments during today’s Venture Studio session organised by eDC (Entrepreneurship Development Cell) IIT Delhi with Gaurav Agarwal, the founder of #Tata1mg, who walked us through the real meaning of an MVP — not as a product, but as a process of continuous learning and adapting. Here’s what we’re taking away: 🛠️ Redefine Your MVP: It’s About Testing, Not Building. Gaurav broke down the misconception that an MVP has to be a fully functional tech product. Instead, he pushed us to think creatively about how we can test our core assumptions. An MVP could be as simple as an Instagram page, a WhatsApp group, or even a basic landing page — anything that helps you learn faster about your customers’ real needs. At GydeXP, we’re acting on this immediately: • Launching a minimal social media campaign to validate our messaging and see which experiences resonate most. • Listing our offerings on platforms like Viator and GetYourGuide to reach wider audiences and understand where the real demand is. 📉 Prioritize Learning Over Perfection. Gaurav emphasized the importance of getting something out there quickly, then iterating based on real feedback, not assumptions. The key? Don’t obsess over having a polished product; focus on what you can learn today to make it better tomorrow. We’re aligning our strategy around this: • Tracking engagement, not just clicks. • Monitoring conversions, not just likes. • Listening to feedback, not just numbers. 💬 Stay Close to Your Customers and make them Design Partners. One of the most powerful points from Gaurav was to keep communication lines open with your users, especially in the early days. Whether it’s through direct messages on social media or quick surveys after a test run, understanding their pain points and preferences firsthand is invaluable. We’re embedding this in our DNA by: • Engaging directly with our early users to co-create experiences. • Using every interaction as a learning opportunity to refine our offerings. ⚡ Speed and Agility Are Your Competitive Edge. In a rapidly changing market, speed isn’t just an advantage; it’s survival. Gaurav’s advice was clear: Don’t wait for the perfect moment or the perfect product. Get into the market, adapt on the fly, and use agility as your differentiator.
