Throughout history, horses and mules have been indispensable to society, especially in mountainous regions. However, over time, the respect and care they once received have dwindled. Today, many of these hardworking animals are deprived of basic necessities like food, water, and medical care by their owners. In these dire circumstances, India Animal Fund and People for Animals Uttarakhand have emerged as saviors for working animals. Your continued support can ensure these animals receive the care they deserve. Click the link here - https://lnkd.in/guSa9btX

The most destructive forms of pollution include air pollution and water pollution. When the air that we breathe and the water we need becomes polluted, it causes infections, chronic diseases, warms the temperature, infects our food sources and reduces the quality of human life. But if deforestation and water pollution are the problem, then tree plantation and ocean restoration efforts are the solution. This World Nature Conservation Day, support these two campaigns to plant trees and reduce the amount of garbage getting dumped into the oceans: Read more here: https://lnkd.in/ggK3gwSB

If you thought the answer was Cherrapunji you would be mistaken. But you would not be entirely wrong because that is what school textbooks told us for years. As a direct consequence of climate change, a rise in ocean temperature, and deforestation, annual rainfall in Cherrapunji has declined making way for Mawsynram to the top of the list. This can have far-reaching consequences not just for native flora and fauna but also for the communities that inhabit the region. If we look around, signs of climate change have only intensified. It’s high time we prioritise the wellbeing of Mother Earth. What do you think? However, Mawsynram recently replaced Cherrapunji as the rainiest city and has become the wettest place in the world, receiving an annual rainfall of 10,000 mm. The places mentioned above are the wettest in India in chronological order.

It did not come as a surprise when JRD Tata was voted among the ten greatest Indians. A visionary leader whose pioneering efforts left an indelible mark on India. As the first Indian to receive a pilot’s license, JRD established Tata Airlines in 1932, which later became Air India, laying the foundation for India's aviation industry. JRD's contributions extend far beyond aviation. He played a pivotal role in transforming India into an IT powerhouse, fostering innovation and excellence across various industries. His leadership of the Tata Group saw the conglomerate's expansion into steel, power, hospitality, and automobiles, setting benchmarks for corporate governance and ethical business practices. #JRD_Tata #VisionaryLeader #TataGroup #HistoricalFigures
