The webinar that can be found below ⬇ highlights mechanisms for investing in land-based solutions to reduce and remove emissions both within the value chain and those that are beyond value chain. The above may be useful given that companies are exploring net zero pathways via setting set emissions-related targets corresponding to Scope 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Furthermore, many policies are also being implemented which help to lay emphasis on sustainability reporting, such as but not limited to EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Last week, WBCSD held an interactive webinar exploring mechanisms for #investing in land-based solutions to reduce and remove #emissions in the #ValueChain and beyond. 📽 Missed it? Watch the webinar now: https://lnkd.in/eV5nxi7j Our panellists Ryan Jones @ Indigo, Courtland Kelly @ Corteva Agriscience, David D'Hollander @ Proforest and Abby Snyder @ Verra discussed: ➡ How corporates evaluate these different mechanisms as part of an overall climate strategy ➡ Navigating potential trade-offs, risks, unintended consequences and synergies of the different mechanisms ➡ Key considerations for corporate claims, accounting, strategy, target-setting and reporting Here were just some of the key takeaways: 💡 Each mechanism has different #financing models, accounting rules and #reporting obligations. They are interconnected but may not be mutually exclusive. 💡 The most impactful mechanism depends on the objectives and activity type. Companies and stakeholders need to determine the best one for their situation. 💡 We need all these mechanisms to work at scale for farmers and producer communities.
