July 2024 marked a number of firsts for us! Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi joined the flutrr family as our first celebrity investor. Additionally, with flutrr 3.0 we also introduced some massive updates that significantly help us stand out in the online dating industry while simultaneously aiding in our mission to help youth forge meaningful connections. Our Co-Founder & CMO, Anirban Banerjee, and our CFO, Anchita Kaushik, both completed the programs they were following at IIM Lucknow and IIM Indore, respectively. As an app made for finding meaningful, long-term relationships - building a strong community is of ultimate importance to us. Now that we have around 800K registered users, we felt that it was the right time to invest in another channel of communication to get closer to our audience through curated offline experiences. And what better day to celebrate meaningful connections if not on Friendship Day? In collaboration with The Serra Cafe we organised a fun-filled evening last Sunday, dedicated to the spirit of friendship. The event featured performances by stand-up comedians, followed by a musician. Mr. Kalyan Mukhopadhyay, ex-IGP of Kolkata Police, also addressed the topic of women’s safety in this increasingly digital world. An eventful evening packed with a full house allowed us to really have a chance to connect with a section of youngsters in the city. Over the upcoming months we hope to organise more such events, on a larger scale, pan-India.
