About us
Fair Climate Fund (FCF) India is a social enterprise working in an impact finance space especially SDG 13 – Climate Action, SDG 5 – Gender Equality and SDG 3 – Good Health and Well Being. It design, implement and manage carbon projects in developing countries that generate CO2 rights. The participating users, majorly in Asia, Africa and Latin America, among others, get access to cleaner energy, air and environment with the products of the FCF India, live healthier, and save on fuel costs and remove carbon to address global warming. FCF India then sells the CO2 rights from these projects to companies, civil society organizations and individuals who want to offset their CO2 emissions. The profit is reinvested in new climate projects. Our projects deliver CO2 rights to be FIT i.e. Fair - Inclusive - Transparent

I'm absolutely thrilled to share that we have receive additional funding from Local Sparks for a project in India that is very close to my heart as it focuses on nature doing what it does best - restoration of ecosystem services. By planting trees, for this PlanVivo accredited carbon removals scheme, the project is supporting local communities economically now, and capacity building for the future. We are making a tangible impact on our planet's future and quality of life for local communities. Through investment in, and collaboration with, FairClimateFund, Fair Climate Fund India, PRASARI and Hucwarm, we are taking significant steps towards a more sustainable and nature-positive tomorrow. Sanjog, through its Assam AgriFin Xamahar Challenge Fund - project, has effectively distributed irrigation pump sets to beneficiaries in Nalbari and Barpeta districts, facilitated by partnerships with NBFCs and banks. The primary goal of this initiative is to alleviate the burdens faced by small and marginal farmers by enabling access to various agricultural machinery. Currently, Sanjog has successfully identified and assisted a significant number of farmers across different villages in these districts. Moving forward, their objective is to expand their outreach to triple-digit numbers of farmers. This expansion is crucial for achieving their overarching aim of reducing farm labor and enhancing productivity through improved mechanization. The ongoing efforts include linking potential beneficiaries with banks and NBFCs, ensuring sustainable support for agricultural development in the region.
