    At the Water & GIS Summit during the Esri India User Conference, industry experts and Esri India leaders gathered to discuss how geospatial technology is revolutionizing water resources management. Ashish Kumar Mittal (General Manager - Sales, Esri India) opened the summit by highlighting the use of GIS for optimized Water Resources Management throughout its lifecycle. The event began with a panel discussion featuring: - Shri Anand Mohan (IFS, Joint Secretary (RD & PP), Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, Govt. of India ), who spoke on the Jal Shakti Ministry’s priority areas for water management and how intersectoral outcomes are enhancing the nation’s water security and sustainability. - Dr Anju Gaur (Senior Water Resources Specialist, World Bank) showcased the impact of national hydrology projects and their role in supporting data-driven governance. - Vikas Goyal (Water Resources Specialist, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Development Bank) addressed challenges in the Indian water sector and how ADB is using geospatial technology to ensure project viability, particularly in improving agricultural water use efficiency through GIS. - Nalin Kumar Srivastava (ICAS) (Deputy Director General, National Mission for Clean Ganga) discussed GIS interventions in pollution abatement projects and their positive impact on local communities. - Prasana Prabhu (Chairman, Vyakti Vikas Kendra India VVKI, The Art of Living) spoke about Art of Living’s river rejuvenation projects and how technology is helping connect communities and improve execution. Following this, Dr Anil Lohani (Head - Surface Water, National Institute of Hydrology) shared insights on the GIS-based approach for planning hydrology infrastructure projects. He was joined by Dr Pushpendra Singh (Scientist E, National Institute of Hydrology) and Sugam Samriti Banchta (Engineer - Customer Success, Esri India), who presented the "Applications of Water Accounting (WA )" tool developed by NIH, which aids in analyzing water supply and demand for sustainable management. A technical presentation by Hitesh Kumar Thakur (Consultant, World Bank) highlighted the role of integrated State Water Resources Information Systems (WRIS) in addressing complex water management challenges through unified data collection, analysis, and dissemination.     At the Digital Twin Summit, during the Esri India User Conference, the Esri India team showcased Digital Twin solutions designed to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making across various business use cases.   The presentation outlined the five levels of Digital Twins: Descriptive, Informative, Predictive, Comprehensive, and Autonomous, with detailed demonstrations of each level. The team illustrated various applications and use cases associated with these levels.   Saranya M. (Manager-Pre Sales, Esri India) and Krishnendu M B (Senior Engineer - Pre Sales, Esri India) took users through the workflow of creating a descriptive twin, using the village of Karala in Delhi as a case study. They showcased how ArcGIS Reality helps create the foundation data including realistic 3D Mesh, followed by quick creation of a Descriptive Digital Twin using ArcGIS Pro & ArcGIS CityEngine. They also showcased the Informative Digital Twin and its capability to integrate operational and sensory data.   Prasanth Krishnavarman (Senior Manager - Customer Success, Esri India) and Krishnendu M B then took the stage to delve into the multiple functionalities of Digital Twins and their role in creating situational awareness. They also highlighted the predictive digital twins and their ability to enhance decision-making by leveraging operational data to generate insights and forecast outcomes.   The demonstration continued with an analysis of how Digital Twins can evaluate the solar potential of an area, followed by insights into Comprehensive Digital Twins. The team illustrated how these twins can explore “what-if” scenarios by simulating future conditions and informing strategic recommendations.   Prabhu Gunasekaran (Solutions Engineer, Autodesk) highlighted the collaboration between Esri and Autodesk through ArcGIS GeoBIM, and how it is helping provide users with a comprehensive solution to address some of the most common construction management challenges.   Mounika Bondada (Engineer - Pre Sales, Esri India) and Roma Malik (Senior Engineer- Pre Sales, Esri India) concluded the session by introducing the audience to scenario planning and as-built integrations within Digital Twins along with Indoor GIS. Krishna Rao T.V.B (General Manager- Presales, Esri India) led an engaging session, guiding users through Esri India's solutions for the Utility sector, with a focus on the Utility Network concepts and their relevance. Jayateerth Deshpande (General Manager, Jio Platforms Limited (JPL)) and Vittal TS (Deputy General Manager, Jio Platforms Limited) showcased how Jio's vision for a digital ecosystem is being enabled by the transition to a comprehensive GIS platform, helping enhance operational efficiency and support innovative services. Dhruba Banerjee (Head - GIS, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited) showcased how TPCODL managed to significantly enhance efficiency and service delivery across their operational area with the adoption of GIS for power distribution operations. Indresh Tiwari (Senior Manager, BSES Delhi) provided insights into BSES Rajdhani Private Limited's extensive GIS implementation and emphasised the importance of integrating non-spatial and spatial data to produce comprehensive reports and dashboards that facilitate effective decision-making in energy management. Suresh Makwana (Chief Engineer - Planning, BEST Undertaking) spoke about how the transition to Esri's GIS technology has empowered BEST to manage its electrical network more effectively, through real-time data access and functionalities support for network tracing and emergency response. M Raja Goud PMP-Utility Network Certified Professional (Technical Consulting Manager, Esri India) walked the audience through the workflows for migrating data from the Geometric Network to the Utility Network. Seshanth R (Senior Engineer- Pre Sales, Esri India) also joined the session to demonstrate the capabilities of the Utility Network using Enterprise Apps and ArcGIS Pro, followed by Swapnil Awaghade (Group Manager-Pre Sales, Esri India), who showcased various data creation techniques using OSM datasets and built-in data creation tools including 2D and 3D workspace. Saranya M. (Manager-Pre Sales, Esri India) provided insights into GeoAI-driven feature extraction, remote asset inspection techniques, and automated data generalization techniques. rajiv pharlia (Deputy GM - SCADA/IT, PFC) delivered an insightful closing address to the session, where he emphasized the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the utilities industry to enable growth.     During the session on Imagery at the Esri India User Conference (Delhi), team Esri India showcased advanced imagery analysis and visualisation capabilities within the ArcGIS environment, covering multiple industry use-cases where Imagery helps users with their work and to make better decisions.   Vijay Kumar (CTO, Esri India) opened the session by highlighting the vision for Imagery and Remote Sensing in India.   As session moderator, Samkith Bagmar (Manager - Imagery & Drone Solutions, Esri India) spoke about the crucial role imagery is playing in decision-making across sectors today, and how ArcGIS, as a comprehensive Imagery and Remote Sensing System, is providing users with Imagery capabilities that can help facilitate this process.   Saranya M (Manager - Presales, Esri India) demonstrated how automated photogrammetry with drones, manned aircraft, and high-resolution satellite images is helping generate photo-realistic 2D and 3D models for cities. She also introduced users to several capabilities within GeoAI, ArcGIS Excalibur, and ArcGIS Video Server, aimed at advancing imagery analysis and visualisation.   Manjusha Singh (Group Manager - Presales, Esri India) showcased the capabilities of ArcGIS for handling and working with LiDAR data. Use-cases such as change detection in forests due to mining activities and change monitoring of water bodies using SAR were also demonstrated, dwelling deeper into the benefits of SAR Imagery for subsidence monitoring and reporting for towns and cities. Sreebhadra H R (Senior Engineer - Presales, Esri India) demonstrated how one can automatically update image services every time a new image is added, and share it with everyone.   Archita Dey (Senior Engineer - Presales, Esri India) presented a pertinent use case for Imagery Analysis where it was utilised to monitor the health of the Kesar Mango plantations in Gujarat.     There were multiple industry-specific tracks on Day 2 of the Esri India User Conference in Delhi, where the application and impact of geospatial technology across industries were demonstrated, with a focus on the role Esri Technology plays in transforming industries.   Agendra Kumar (Managing Director, Esri India) kicked off the Infrastructure & GIS Summit by emphasising the significance of the infrastructure sector in India's growth and the importance of geospatial technology.   Ashish Dhawan (Senior Consultant - Infrastructure, Esri India) highlighted the utilisation of ArcGIS across various stages of the project lifecycle.   The session also featured multiple users across the country sharing their experiences with ArcGIS and how they are utilising geospatial technology across their organisations.   Vibhav Mittal (GM-Tech., NHAI) showcased the development and validation of GIS-based Land Acquisition Plans (LAPs) to enhance land acquisition planning and improve the execution of highway projects.   Sujit Kumar (DGM, NHAI) and Rajesh Kumar (Joint Advisor, NHAI) highlighted the importance of geospatial technology in urban flooding and its significant impact on road planning.   Nitin Jaiswal (AGM, Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd) presented how GIS technology is crucial for lease and land management and reporting, coupled with automated dashboards.   Achal Jain (Chief Project Director - TMS, Indian Railways) along with Manoj Gupta (GM, CRIS) spoke about the role of GIS in asset management, Land Record System (LRS), and other diverse applications across the railway project cycle.   As part of the Partner Showcase, Archana V (Project Delivery Director, Hexamap Solutions) demonstrated the utilisation of GIS for incorporating survey data and its seamless integration using Geospatial Technology with project management tools.   The Esri India team concluded the session by showcasing solutions and tools within ArcGIS, aimed at enhancing the planning, efficiency, and operations of construction projects.
