ELCINA is the Oldest and Largest Industry Association of Electronics Industry in India established in 1967. ELCINA represents companies from all segments of electronics (i.e., Consumer, Telecom, IT, Defence, Industrial, Components, Medical, Solar, Lighting, Automobiles, PCBs, EMS and others). We represent the voice of Electronics & IT manufacturers and service providers with members from both public and private sectors, including multinational companies. Promotion of electronics manufacturing has been our avowed mission over the past 50 years. We work hand in hand with the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), and a number of State Governments to promote investment and policy related matters. We focus on the electronics manufacturing industry and all our efforts are towards promotion of value added electronics manufacturing in India.

Hon’ble Minister for E, IT & BT, Shri Priyank M Kharge of Karnataka, was Chief Guest at the “ELCINA - SES 2024” at Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru. Addressing industry at the 13th Strategic Electronics Summit 2024 - Defence and Aerospace by ELCINA, he highlighted Karnataka’s leadership in IT, deep tech, nanotechnology, and biotechnology. Highlights from his speech : - Karnataka has established foundational strengths in R&D and manufacturing, especially in electronics and aerospace, following India’s first Aerospace & Defence policy in 2013. - The state hosts 25% of India's aircraft and spacecraft industry, manufactures 67% of the country’s defence aircraft and helicopters, and significantly contributes to India's aerospace exports, accounting for 65% of the total. The minister engaged in an insightful Q&A session with the audience, providing further details on the state's strategic initiatives to support the electronics and semiconductor industry, particularly in the aerospace and defence sectors. The event also featured a special Karnataka Pavilion where 16 startups from the aerospace and defence sector showcased their business models and innovative products. A significant moment of the summit was the presentation and release of the ELCINA-EY White Paper titled "Strategic Electronics in India." This white paper provides an in-depth analysis of the current state and future prospects of the strategic electronics sector in India, offering valuable insights and recommendations for industry stakeholders and policymakers.
