We’re seeing even more development from our solar electrification engineering training programme in partnership with Barefoot College International In Kedougou, southeast Senegal, a cohort of 9 newly trained Solar Mamas have graduated from the educational course. For 5 months, they went through a comprehensive training programme in engineering, environmental sustainability, health education, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, paving the way for long-term community development. Empowered by this programme, these women from 15 villages in the region have been able to electrify over 750 homes, bringing sustainable energy solutions to rural areas. The impact of the programme stretches even beyond our own reach, as the graduates continue to establish their own workshops and vocational training and improve the quality of life for their communities. Congratulations to the Kedougou cohort!

Ioana Genes, Accounting Supervisor at DP World Romania, has worked at our Constanta port since the early days. As we celebrate its 20th anniversary, she reflects on her journey since 2004: "Despite the natural differences between the original team from twenty years ago and today's team, one thing remains constant: our commitment to excellence and the success of the company”. Ioana strongly believes that Gen-Z is the future. With their native digital skills and fresh perspectives, we believe integrating the new generation into the workplace will be crucial for success in the next 20 years. As our port grows, we grow together.

2,500 kits promised and now 2,500 kits delivered through our Beyond Boundaries Initiative! 🏏 We are delighted to fulfil the promise we made during the 2023 International Cricket Council Cricket World Cup, where we pledged 10 kits for every 100 runs scored in each match, by delivering 2,500 cricket kits to grassroots organisations across the globe. We reached this major milestone by delivering our tenth repurposed shipping container in the initiative to Namibia yesterday, as part of our ambition to make cricket more accessible to everyone. The latest container, which will act as a pavilion and kit store at the Kuisebmund Stadium Complex in Walvis Bay, arrived at its new home having been transported nearly 2,000 km from Johannesburg, South Africa, using our end-to-end smart logistics capabilities. The kits and container will benefit Cricket Namibia and mark the initiative’s continued support for the grassroots game in the wider sub-Saharan Africa region. Through the ten containers to date, we have now used our global network of smart logistics solutions to deliver kits and improved accessibility to cricketers in India, South Africa, Barbados, the United States, the UAE and Namibia. Despite reaching this landmark moment, the work doesn’t stop! We look forward to continuing the Beyond Boundaries Initiative mission of Changing What’s Possible in cricket around the world. #SmartLogisticsBeyondBoundaries

Join us in celebrating the journeys of our Constanta Port and our dedicated team members. We're marking the 20th anniversary of our Constanta Port, which first opened in April 2004, and is now the largest container port on the Black Sea. With new infrastructure to be launched in 2025, the interlinking of our established maritime, railway, barge, and trucking services within Romania will be boosted. Cosmin Carstea, CEO of DP World in Romania, has experienced significant growth over the past 20 years alongside the port. Beginning his journey as a Planning Superintendent in 2004 at DP World Constanta, Cosmin has developed his impressive career through the support and encouragement of the business leaders, a role he now takes up in the business. His time with us has been instrumental in shaping him into the person he is today, and he eagerly anticipates the next 20 years with the company. The parallel growth between our port and people embodies our collective journey of progress and innovation. Our journey has only just begun.

Navigating the complex supply chains of Asia Pacific requires a strategic approach. We are already leveraging AI and advanced technologies to optimise logistics and reduce costs, but we recognise that expertise and strong partnerships are essential for success. We were glad to host another of our Smart Series events in March, where Edoardo Molinari shared insights into the impact of data on professional golf. His reflections on data were contextualised by the current landscape of the tech industry in APAC, already a leader in AI, blockchain, and IoT. In her latest blog, Regional Commercial Lead, Jeanie Tan, shares her own insights on the Smart Series conversations and APAC as a market. Read more on our website: https://lnkd.in/eTMKFz9E
