    Below are the two readings of our EBIKE motor controller with a case and without a case and of course there was a heatsink on the Mosfets. 25A peak current @ 36V 10S cells with peak 42V. The Case looks really effective for the effort we put to choose the same. 25 degrees lesser!!! Testing was done on a peak summer day at Chennai in INDIA.

    Did you know that the peripherals inside a microcontroller or microprocessor works like dedicated post offices with their own pincodes like activity? Let me explain.. Supposedly an embedded engineer wants to configure UART peripheral for sending data. The Peripheral itself has an address which may be thought as the micro is talking to a specific address or a person living in that address instructing to do some specific material to be delivered to somewhere. Now when we configure the UART peripheral, we set it up to receive parcels of data to be sent and received to specific other addresses... now that is so simple to understand how a peripheral works.!!

    Hardware design knowledge of the day. 1. While designing with ethernet 10/100/1000 speed we need to keep the following in mind as below. 2. Ethernet needs esd protection 3. RJ45 port will need EMI filters 4. Ethernet TX and RX pairs need to be impedance matched lines. 5. Shorter traces will provide better emi immunity. 6. We will need an Ethernet PHY interface chip 7. PHY data input lines need series resistors for reflection arrest. 8. Length Matched RX TX pair will improve the link quality and reliability.
