𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺! This workshop provided valuable learnings about the 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 of 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿. Particularly had the opportunity to learn about other incubation centres across India and their approaches. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁, 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁! A statement I use during my mentorship sessions for startups. I find this statement to be highly relevant not only for startups but also for established businesses. Yesterday, I did a GTM mentoring session for startups in Cultiv8 (CIET - TBI). A bunch of startups with very interesting ideas. Later in the day, I met with a company that has been in operation for 30 years. They are very well established but they have a huge problem facing them. Problem: Product Market Fit, How is this possible, and how have they managed to survive for so long? After listening to the client for five minutes, I said, "𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸; 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝘀." When he asked how to address this, I advised him to return to the market and understand its needs. Think like a startup founder: identify the current problem and tweak the product accordingly. As market requirements evolve, the expectations for your product change as well. Adapting and updating your product becomes essential to stay relevant and in demand. P.S: Marketing leaders should recognize that their responsibility extends beyond merely promoting whatever is presented to them.
