Be innovative, be mono-PE! That is the spirit of the #BOPE Summit, hosted by Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH. We had the pleasure of attending this event at the Congress Center Salzburg in Austria, where our experts took the stage.   Dr. Dietmar Lenko, our Head of Group Technical Innovation, presented in the session "Opportunities and challenges for the converting industry," discussing "Recyclable Mono-PE Laminates with highest barrier and its applications" and showcasing our versatile #EcoLam family.  Several use cases from dairy products like #mozzarella to #confectionery, home & personal care #HPC and #processedfood – EcoLam laminates offer diverse barrier properties to ensure optimal packaging. Plus, they are environmentally friendly, being recyclable with flexible films collection streams. In the session "Recycling regulation for full PE monostructures," our SVP Group R&D, Prof. Dr. Achim Grefenstein Grefenstein, provided deep insights into "How cooperative research between industry and university can improve recyclate quality." He emphasized the critical role of collaborative efforts and consequent design for #recycling to enhance the quality of recyclable materials, a crucial step towards meeting the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (#PPWR). Recycling days at Constantia Tobepal Logroño! To understand the circular economy, we are eager to learn about every step in the sustainability journey. Over the past two weeks, our team at Constantia Tobepal Logroño has been actively engaging in recycling initiatives. With express training sessions from ECOEMBES and Servicios Ecológicos Navarra, a creative competition to repurpose disposable materials, and a fun online trivia game, we have boosted our recycling knowledge and practices. More than 60 colleagues participated, demonstrating their creativity and dedication to reducing waste. Thank you for the engaging discussions, which brought to light many interesting aspects. We also want to express our gratitude for the well-organized event for the Constantia Team.
