Part 2 - Akshayakalpa Organic - a farmer entrepreneurship initiative by Shashi Kumar where young farmers are groomed and supported to set up profitable dairy farms. They believe in farming for the future. 1. They follow practices of co-existence farming. The resources required by the farm to thrive are harnesses within the farm itself. Cow dung is used to generate methane gas used for day-to-day activities at the farms. The residue goes back to the soil as fertilizer for our lands. No artificial fertilizers or pesticides are used, maintaining the vitality of the soil at our farms. 2. Their farms provide not just shelters, but a stress-free home for our cows. We make sure our cows have access to clean water and organic fodder as and when they need it. With an open and dedicated paddock area, our cows are healthy, happy, and free. 3. They provide wealth-generation opportunities and a stable source of daily income for the farmers and their families.
