𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓: 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒉𝒏𝒊 𝑻𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒉𝒂 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒉𝒆 We believe in the power of mentorship to transform lives. In collaboration with L&T CSR, we launched a mock interview program to support children from marginalized communities. Roshni, one of our dedicated mentors, started her journey with us in 2019. Initially uncertain about her ability to guide our aspirants, she soon discovered that mentorship is a two-way street. By encouraging and supporting others, she found her own confidence and fulfillment growing. One of her mentees, Poonam Yadav, is a shining example of the impact of mentorship. Despite the challenges of living in a large joint family, Poonam attended every online session, often retreating to a small storeroom to focus. Together, they worked on self-introductions, refining her CV, and interview preparation. Today, Poonam holds an MSc in Biotechnology and works as a Junior Molecular Biologist at HiMedia Laboratories Pvt Limited. Her success is a testament to her hard work and the guidance she received through our mentorship program. Poonam's tradition of wishing Roshni on every Gurupurnima touched our hearts and made the mentorship experience truly special. We are grateful to mentors like Roshni who make a real difference. Bright Future Conducted Career Awareness Sessions in Child Care Institutions!! We are happy to share the outcomes of our recent career awareness initiative in collaboration with Vatsalya Trust, aimed at empowering children with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed career choices. Here’s a glimpse of what we achieved Objectives: - Introduce self-awareness regarding interests and skills. - Educate children about diverse career opportunities. - Help children align their interests with potential career paths. Impact: In our recent career awareness initiative, we conducted sessions with children in the Child Care institutions through a comprehensive journey of self-discovery and career exploration. The sessions helped them identify their interests, visualise their aspirations and become aware of various career opportunities. The children learned to set achievable goals and understood the importance of skill development for future employment. This holistic approach led them to build a clearer understanding of their interests and the potential career path they wish to pursue. As an outcome of this initiative the children started to express about their awareness of the interests and career paths they wish to explore and seek more information. 🌟 Empowering Future Changemakers: Career Interest Awareness Training at Universe Simplified Foundation We are thrilled to share the success of our recent "Career Interest Awareness" training held on 5th and 6th June 2024 at the Universe Simplified Foundation (USF) Center. This transformative event was attended by 12 dedicated fellows, guided by our trainers Sukanya Rajgopal, Manish Yadav, Divya Gopkumar, and Sukeshni B Highlights of the Training: *Introduced fellows to diverse career opportunities beyond traditional academic pathways. *Facilitated self-discovery of interests and alignment with potential careers. *Equipped participants with essential skills and resources for career goals The sessions were designed to be interactive and hands-on, with activities such as the Visualization Activity and Goal Setting, ensuring that the fellows could connect deeply with their career aspirations. The introduction of Holland’s Codes and the BF Career Interest Tool provided a structured approach to identifying and pursuing career goals. *Key Takeaways* -Fellows set personal career goals and gained clarity on designing their career paths. -Enhanced understanding of aligning personal interests with professional opportunities. -Boosted confidence in navigating their career journeys with the SMART goal-setting framework.
