Today is World Water Day, a reminder of the precious resource. Banas Dairy is committed to fulfilling Hon'ble Shri Narendrabhai Modi Saheb's dream of "Catch The Rain" and preserving this precious gift to leave a watery legacy for future generations. 🌍 Banas has taken up the campaign of a water revolution after the success of the white revolution. In a very short period of time, this parched region has flooded several lakes with floodwater. Such is the sheer will and capacity of the farmers and milk producers involved in Banas Dairy. Under Banas Jal Shakit Abhiyan, over 245 deep, significant, and innovative lakes, including the magnificent Amrit Sarovar in Greater Banaskantha, have been constructed. Through this water harvesting operation, a staggering 228 MCFT/2,000-3,000 Cr liters of water has been stored. Chairman Mr. Shankarbhai Chaudhary Saheb started the "Banas Jalshakti Abhiyan" with the noble idea of keeping 'farm water in the field,' and 'village water in the village' for a permanent solution to the acute water problem in Banaskantha district. In order to preserve the deep underground water table, so that farmers and herdsmen can benefit, Banas Dairy has taken up the intensive work of deepening lakes village by village and storing the monsoon water in them to create a water-rich heritage for future generations. On this World Water Day, let us all express our gratitude to nature by taking a pledge to save water. #worldwaterday2024
