About us

Bal Raksha Bharat is India’s leading independent child rights NGO. As of 2024, it works in 16 Indian states and 3 UTs and has changed the lives of more than 16 million Indian children since 2008. We engage with the Government to drive policy change in the best interest of children. Globally, Bal Raksha Bharat is present in more than 80 countries and works to improve the situation of children living there. We're poised to reach 4 million of the most deprived children of India in the period 2022-2024. Visit www.balrakshabharat.org to know more. Ek Pehal: Our Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility Today, we had the privilege of hosting Bob Sulentic, Chair and CEO of CBRE Group, at our Mumbai office. Along with Anshuman Magazine, Chairman & CEO, India, SEA, MEA, CBRE, they launched the latest initiatives of our flagship CSR program, Ek Pehal. Since inception, Ek Pehal has positively impacted over 100,000 lives, and this year, we aim to extend that number to over 150,000. Our CSR efforts are centred around empowering marginalized communities through innovative programs and collaborations with leading NGOs. Bob and Anshuman flagged off Smile on Wheels, a Mobile Medical Unit that will provide accessible & affordable healthcare services to migrant labourers and their families across Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Subsequently, both leaders also engaged with children and families from migrant communities, distributing nutrition kits to supplement their health and well-being. Bob’s leadership continues to inspire us to strengthen our commitment to social responsibility and deepen our impact on the lives of those we serve. A special thanks to our partners for their invaluable contribution towards the success of this initiative: Bal Raksha Bharat (Save the Children), Smile Foundation, Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT), Safe Water Network India (SWNI), Ritinjali, WaterAid India, and Plan International (India Chapter). #EkPehal #CSRImpact #HealthcareForAll #MigrantSupport #SmileOnWheels #CBREIndia

Making a difference in someone’s life by putting a smile on their face can be as simple as offering a kind word, a listening ear, or a thoughtful gesture. Small acts like showing appreciation, sharing a laugh, or helping someone feel seen and valued have the power to uplift spirits. Even a random act of kindness, such as leaving an encouraging note or giving a compliment, can create a ripple effect of positivity. You can also wear a smile by experiencing the Joy of Giving. #WorldSmileDay, #SpreadHappiness, #SmileMore, #ActsOfKindness, #ShareASmile, #PositiveVibes, #SmileWithLove.

Today, on World Environmental Health Day, we bring to the fore the the vital link that exists between human health and the environment. It's essential to recognize how our surroundings impact our well-being. Even today, in rural areas, children thrive under the shade of trees, engaging in study, play, and relaxation, all while fostering a deeper connection with nature. Let’s advocate for healthier environments where future generations can flourish. #HealthAndEnvironment #NatureForKids #SustainableFuture #SDG13 #ClimateActionNow
